Methods of Assessment and Evaluation in Medical Science Education | Chapter 1 | Medicine and Medical Research: New Perspectives Vol. 8

The assessment and evaluation is an essential and important aspect of medical science education. It encourages and motivates students to learn in a better way. A good assessment is key to lifelong learning. Education is the backbone of a nation. During the last two decades, medical education faced a lot of challenges. These challenges are raised by patients, their relatives, healthcare workers and society. After a thorough discussion with experts, solutions come out in the form of the development of a new curriculum, the introduction of new learning methods, and introduction of the new methods of evaluation and assessment. Many innovative methods of teaching, learning, assessment and evaluation are included in medical science. Medical education is based on learner skills and practice. Without practice, a person cannot work in this field. The aim of this paper is to describe the various assessment methods in medical education. There is a huge difference between traditional and modern education. Students of the 21st century are technology-based so teachers must be equipped with technology. Nowadays the word teaching is replaced by term learning. Students having already the entire subject-related material on their computer or mobile. The work of the teacher is to explain the concept. During assessment of teaching, 2 methods are very familiar, which are formative and summative assessment. Formative assessment is carried out by a teacher to find the knowledge of a learner at the end of each chapter or unit. The teacher can also evaluate his classroom or teaching performance after each lecture. A summative assessment is carried out at the end of the semester or year to evaluate the overall performance of a candidate. It is also known as term examination or cumulative examination. Nowadays, many new methods are available for teaching in medical education like demonstration and simulation. Every teacher must be thorough with methods of assessment and evaluation.

Conclusion:  It can be concluded from the literature that planning for effective faculty development programs is required. These programs are to be tailored to teachers' needs about their ability to guide students’ learning. Clinical simulation, online webinars, panel discussions, symposiums and objective structured clinical examination (OSCE) are new methods used for assessment of students.

Composite Wave Sheets from Basalt Fiber for Pitched Roofing | Chapter 2 | Research and Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 3

This item describes scientific research on the invention of highly adept asbestos-free composite sheet cover materials established basalt fibers using nanotechnology and creative developments, established local conditions. Since in modern environments the problems of environmentally intimate and durable materials are severe, the authors propose an creative method of replacing resistant to burning and chrysotile fibers in the production of gestured roofing sheets. New ideas and results of exploratory developments, concerning details regulations and practical experiments in this place are proposed. The Mega Invest Industrial joint venture is a complicated basalt fiber builder in Central Asia and the second largest builder in the CIS, which produces a wide range of extreme-strong volcano matter fibers. The authors made an attempt to realize the plan of using local volcano matter fiber for the production of gesturing roofing sheets.

Spirituality in Modern Education as an Ideological Concept | Chapter 04 | Current Research in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 2

The study looks at "spirituality" as an ideological notion in modern education, finding the ideologemes that underpin it. Acceptance criteria for ideologemes are the performance of a person's activity and its evaluation in terms of paramount values. The authors identify one of the key paths in education as the methodological component of personal spiritual revelation, changing the focus of research to hermeneutic principles in understanding spiritual experience. The basic purpose of instructional action is to employ a hermeneutic method to disclose an individual's profound inner reality.

Research Issues on Datamining | Book Publisher International

Data mining is a set of techniques for removing randomness from large and complicated databases and uncovering hidden patterns. The extraction of new knowledge from large databases is known as datamining (DM), sometimes known as knowledge discovery from databases (KDD). Data mining is the process of discovering previously undiscovered, valid patterns and relationships in big data sets using advanced data analysis techniques. Data mining techniques can estimate future trends and actions to help individuals make better decisions. Datamining has a range of applications. Identifying trends and patterns is a powerful tool for businesses across all sectors and industries.

Modern intrusion detection systems must deal with a number of difficulties. These applications must be dependable, expandable, controllable, and cost-effective to maintain. In recent years, data mining-based intrusion detection systems (IDSs) have demonstrated high accuracy, good generalisation to novel types of intrusion, and consistent behaviour in a changing environment. In order to find the optimum neural network, the number of hidden layers in various neural network topologies is compared. Misuse detection is a method of attempting to detect instances of network attacks by comparing current behaviour to the expected activities of an intruder. Artificial neural networks can detect and classify network activity even when the input is sparse, imperfect, and nonlinear.

The major goal of this research is to investigate privacy and security concerns among cloud computing users and consumers in a dispersed setting. Machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and data mining techniques are used in conjunction to automatically detect and uncover patterns in a variety of sources. Both continuous and discontinuous changes can be dealt with using predictive analytics. Predictive analytics uses classification, prediction, and, to some extent, affinity analysis as analytical tools.

The semantic context and syntactic components are the focus of current text or document mining research. We investigated a mining model to categorise documents based on the Order of Context, Concept, and Semantic Relations in order to accomplish this, and with the inspiration garnered from our previous research efforts (OCCSR). Users will be able to get valuable information from virtually connected data warehouses using data mining techniques based on Cloud computing, cutting infrastructure and storage expenses. From the cloud, data mining can extract useful and potentially helpful information. The 3Vs are three features that are commonly used to define big data (Volume, Velocity and Variety). The report examines Big Data analytics methodologies, settings, and technologies in critical domains, as well as how they contribute in the creation of analytics solutions for Clouds.

Clustering is a type of unsupervised learning approach that is used to find a new set of categories. The processing time for grid-based clustering is typically determined by the size of the grid rather than the data. Three clustering algorithms are compared: hierarchical clustering, density-based clustering, and K Means clustering.

The majority of current approaches to identifying misuse rely on rule-based expert systems to identify indicators of previously detected attacks. We give a quick review of the numerous Artificial Intelligence techniques used in the design, development, and deployment of Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) for defending computer and communication networks from intruders, as well as their improvements. Knowledge Discovery in Data (KDD) aims to extract information that isn't immediately apparent through meticulous and detailed analysis and interpretation. Analytics uses KDD, data mining, text mining, statistical and quantitative analysis, explanatory and predictive models, and advanced and interactive visualisation tools to drive choices and actions.

Mapping of Students’ Learning Progression Based on Mental Model in Magnetic Induction Concepts | Chapter 3 | Newest Updates in Physical Science Research Vol. 8

The teacher has not been observing student learning progress in a learning process to its full potential. The mental processes that occur in pupils' thinking are not assessed, and the notion being taught is examined solely at the end of learning as a product of thinking. Facilitating students' thinking through new phenomena can reveal students' variation in thinking as a mental model of a concept, allowing assimilative and accommodative students to be identified in their pursuit of thought equilibrium, as well as an indicator of progressivity in the students' thinking stages. The goal of this research is to map a student's learning process using mental models based on the magnetic induction notion. The information for this study came from written documentation and interviews with students who learnt about magnetic induction using the Constructivist Teaching Sequences (CTS) paradigm. The findings of this study show that making students' thinking processes on the notion of magnetic induction easier contributes to a higher percentage of students thinking in the "progressive change" group (76 percent ). Furthermore, 12 percent of students think in the category of "change more randomly," 8% of students are consistent with the basis of analogy thinking, and just 4% are consistent in the scientific principles they have understood since the beginning of their education. As a result, it may be argued that student learning progresses more rapidly once teachers facilitate ideas through new phenomena.

Sustainability of Housing: The Conceptual Framework | Chapter 1 | Advanced Aspects of Engineering Research Vol. 5

In reality, housing is more expensive than many consumer goods. It is extremely productive because it is thought to account for over 75% of household wealth. However, it swiftly sinks into a sea of inconsistency caused by imported knowledge clashing with users' local knowledge, practises, and traditions. As a result, even if housing tries to satisfy the needs of current users, it becomes exceedingly difficult to fulfil the demands of future users. This is the most important part of the paper. As a result, the study examines the components of housing infrastructure as well as the obstacles that consumers will face in satisfying their future needs. It draws its conclusions and recommendations by focusing on the long-term viability of housing's physical, cultural, and productive roles.
