AI-Driven Anatomical Mapping of the Head and Neck: Advances in Immunology, Microbiome, and Structural Biomarker Discovery |Chapter 1 | Microbiology and Biotechnology Research: An Overview Vol. 5

Artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping the anatomical and molecular mapping of head and neck cancers by integrating immunological, microbiome, and structural biomarkers into cohesive diagnostic and prognostic frameworks. Advances in deep learning, digital pathology, radiomics, and spatial omics now allow automated segmentation, immune landscape characterisation, and multi-omics integration with high accuracy and reproducibility. AI-driven spatial profiling has enhanced understanding of tumour–immune interactions, while automated imaging analysis has refined structural biomarker discovery, supporting improved radiotherapy planning and outcome prediction. Concurrently, microbiome-focused machine learning approaches are revealing microbial signatures linked to immunotherapy response. Despite these advances, limitations remain, including small datasets, a lack of standardised protocols, and challenges in model interpretability. However, current literature remains fragmented, often evaluating immunological, microbial, or imaging biomarkers in isolation rather than through integrated AI frameworks. By bridging this gap, AI mapping can facilitate earlier diagnosis, personalise therapy selection, and improve survival outcomes in clinical practice. This review highlights the transformative role of AI in biomarker discovery and precision oncology for head and neck cancers, emphasising the need for multicenter validation, explainable AI, and harmonised methodologies to enable clinical translation.

Stealth Microbiomes in Chronic Infections: Mechanisms of Pathogenicity and Immune Evasion | Book Publisher International

 

The layout of the book “Stealth Microbiomes in Chronic Infections: Mechanisms of Pathogenicity and Immune Evasion” was organised in two parts, five sections and twenty-two chapters. Part one, the platform was of two sections. Section one of three chapters. First, the biology and second, the stealth infections and third, the microbiome. The second section was of six chapters as: dysbiosis indicator organism, pathogenicity, immune evasion, immunology and laboratory biology. Part two the infections of three sections. Section three was with nine chapters covering various human stealth bacterial infections as meningitis, conjunctivitis, pneumonia, arthritis, urethritis, prostatitis, pyuria, puria-hematuria and multidrug resistance stealth bacterial infections. In section four, the laboratory animal infection models for stealth bacterial pathogens. Which include four chapters: Murine H. influenzae b meningitis, lapin S. aureus arthritis, lapin E. coli arthritis and lapin C. fruendii urogenital infections. Section five, the concluding remarks of one chapter, and the final tips. The monograph was intended to be of use for postgraduate students and researchers in medical microbiology and immunology.

Microbial Immunology | Book Publisher International

The book “Microbial Immunology” is organised to fulfil an area of immunology that attracts many scholars whome have an interest in immunology of human microbial infectious diseases. Many books tackle the science of basic and medical immunology in comparison few were having this topic in a separate book title or separate monograph title. This book tried to stand as a textbook in this attractive field of immunology. The layout of the text was organised in two parts, six sections and 40 chapters. The first part was with three sections: the basic immunology in 13 chapters, basic infect-ology in five chapters and basic microbial immunology in five chapters. The second part covered applied immunology with three sections the first, the immunology of common infections in five chapters, the immunology of emerging and re-emerging infections in nine chapters and the themes in three chapters that covered the immunology of polymicrobial infections, infectious granuloma and infectious secondary cryoglobulinemia. The book was intended to be of use for undergraduate students, post-graduate students and researchers of basic and microbial immunology. As well as laboratory medicine professionals.

Comprehensive Human Laboratory Immunology: Principles, Protocols and Application | Book Publisher International

The book text covers the basic principles, protocols and applications of human laboratory immunology presented in a comprehensive attitude. The nature of the material presentation was in an essay style. In general, the essay text structure starts with an abstract, introduction, inducer, immune responses, immunopathogenesis, sampling, processing, findings, interpretations, immunodiagnostic tips, conclusion and references. The essay chapter 1 described the method for the preparation of antigens. Essay 2 covered the attributes of immune competence. Immune resilience, the current update concept was stated in essay 3. The protocols for the immunization of laboratory animals were depicted in essay 4. Facts on immune simulation between mammalian laboratory animals and human beings were outlined in Essay 5. The practical aspects of the detection of immune responses were explained in essays 6 and 7. Humoral innate immunity was briefed in essays 9 and 10. Natural innate and adaptive immunity were mostly functioning in a cooperative manner. To this end, complement system studies were made in essays 11 and 12. Humoral antibody mediated immunity covering; normoglubulin, cryoglobulin and pyroglobulin were detailed in essays 13 to 15. The immunology of human bacteriosis including; typhoid, brucellosis and tuberculosis was mentioned in essays 18 to 20. The immunology of human disease conditions like; persistent pyuria, vaginosis, infertility, burns, allergy, diabetes, energy and cancer molecular immunology were presented in essays 21 to 28.

Study about Young Women to Specifics of Human Sexuality/Reproduction | Chapter 11 | Advancement and New Understanding in Medical Science Vol. 5

This paper explains first, concerning physiological vaginal first birth (primiparity) why young women should consider delivering her first baby before the age of 26 (there is a linear association between maternal ages and healthy deliveries). Second, because of the comparatively large human fetal brain, nutritional maternal-foetal exchanges are twice those of other mammals (per body-mass ratios). There is a lack of awareness among young of the very specific reproductive and sexual strategies of humans as compared to other mammals. Homo sapiens appeared some 300,000 years ago and our female ancestors delivered obligatorily vaginally prior to the development of medical interventions (such as caesarean sections, a safe procedure only since the 1960’s). Furthermore, women are unique among the 4,300 mammal species suffer from a harmful complication of pregnancy, preeclampsia (especially during a first pregnancy). But, as the human species has retained the hemochorial placenta, that first appeared in mammalian evolution, women face the great challenge of immunological tolerance towards the male partner’s tissues during the nine months of gestation. This major challenge occurs during the first pregnancy and tolerance is related to semen exposure prior to conception.  In subsequent additional pregnancies, immunological recognition is largely achieved through the initial pregnancy. This is why for a first pregnancy (nulliparous woman or multiparous woman with a new male partner), it is preferable to conceive after a delay of 6 months of non-barrier contraception before planning conception. Short-term sexual cohabitation after the couple's constitution (partially recognized male tissue) may result in incomplete embryo implantation, which can cause problems including early-onset preeclampsia and/or fetal growth restriction. Third, to have a baby neither too small, nor too big, women overweight or obese at the beginning of any pregnancy must gain less weight during the 9 months of gestation as compared to their leaner counterparts. The optimal gestational weight gain may be acknowledged during the first prenatal visit, with, a goal to achieve during the next 7- 8 months of pregnancy.

Medical Crossword Puzzles: An Effective Formative Assessment Tool to Promote Learning | Chapter 9 | Advanced Concepts in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 5

 This unit aimed to detail the students ‘perceived benefits from Crossword baffle-based knowledge. Using active-education strategies in the classroom form learning more charming and gives students more ambition. Given that they spark curiosity, encourage fault-finding thinking, improve understanding of concepts, and serve to augment lecture content, crossword puzzles are thinking to be an charming instructional tool for impressionable assessment.The study secondhand free online possessions, crossword puzzles for the students all the while microbiology and immunology lectures. These lectures are part of the Microbiology and Immunology joined course taught in the MD3 period curriculum of the College of Medicine and Health Sciences. National University of Science and Technology, Oman. Students’ perceptions of the crossword confuse activity were evaluated through an 8-item inquiry using a 5-point Likert scale. The data was calm, tabulated, and statistically resolved.Most of the students (89.4%%) suggested for more common use of crossword puzzles in the homeroom as it is great fun achievement in the classroom and unique habit of testing their understanding of the lecture contents. Nearly 86% of the undergraduates indicated that crossword puzzles assisted them to advance their examination grades.Students seen that crossword puzzles enhanced their education of microbiology and immunology. Crossword puzzles in the study hall are an easy, creative, and useful way to adjoin active education to many medical courses, such as Immunology and Microbiology.

Inflammatory and Immunological Profile of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Basic Research and Clinical Application | Book Publisher International

 This book is built on the assumption that present and future scientific knowledge is and will be predominantly based on understanding of the immunology and inflammation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Pathophysiology and its clinical, functional, and radiological implications, as well as existing and prospective treatments, all point to a better understanding of the entity's molecular biology. As a result, the book is divided into four distinct portions. Immune recognition, inflammation, immunology, mitochondrial dysfunction, and the rheological features of bronchial mucus are all covered in the first four chapters. That is, the foundations of COPD's immunological and inflammatory characteristics. The second section addresses COPD caused by etiologies other than smoking, which is a subset of COPD that is "on the rise." The treatment of COPD is covered in the third segment, while the fourth portion contains two mandatory chapters on the subject: differential diagnosis and similarities with bronchial asthma, and the influence of COVID-19 on COPD and bronchial asthma.

The major goal is to provide the reader with up-to-date, comprehensive, and concise information on these molecular profiles, which are sometimes difficult to comprehend, by combining multiple chapters into one "whole," as if they were different surfaces of a prism.

We'll be happy if the book gives medical students, physicians, and researchers a better understanding of COPD.
