Aims: The aim of this study is to create a framework for wood recycling. In this regard, the feasibility of utilizing impregnated wastes of railroad ties and telephone poles was scrutinized in terms of their environmental impact. It has also aimed to put an attention to useability of those out of service wood products (railroad ties and telephone poles) into landscape design applications.
Results and Conclusions: Wood is a valuable natural material and
could be utilized effectively, support sustainability. Therefore, out of
service wood-based products, such as; impregnated railroad ties, telephone
poles must be used more as a sustainable construction material, and natural,
renewable, easy-to-recycle materials should be used more. Developing
sustainable reuse of wood waste will also be an acquired feature of wood waste
in the future.
