Modern Academic libraries are contemplated as centres of educational establishments including teaching and research. Modern Academic library services accommodate various academic programs. ICT applications have transformed traditional methods of providing library and information services in academic libraries. Today due to the advancements of ICT users are becoming more demanding. Information methods and techniques are constantly being developed by the internet for libraries to use to provide their services. Currently, the majority of literature on innovation is extremely focused on library services. This paper explains the Academic Libraries, Needs, Purpose, and Functions of Modern Information Services of Academic Library, the Impact of ICT on Academic Libraries, the Benefits of ICT in Libraries, ICT and Library Professionals followed by some specific suggestions. It is suggested that librarians will have to learn new technologies for providing modern Academic library services. Knowledge of ICT, information resources, management and access etc. is required for providing the highest quality information services as the success of modern academic libraries is dependent on providing quality services for its users.
