Exploring the Psychometric Properties of School-based Assessment Instrument | Chapter 2 | Progress in Language, Literature and Education Research Vol. 2

The purpose concerning this work is to cultivate and evaluate the validity and dependability of an instrument for achieving school-based assessment (SBA) in schools. In the Malaysian framework, SBA consists of four elements which are school assessment, principal assessment, psychometric estimate and physical activity, sport and co-curriculum appraisal.  Daniel Stufflebeam's conceptual foundation, known as the CIPP (context, recommendation, process, and product) Judgment Model, served as the base for the development of the instrument.  This ship study was conducted at the basic and secondary schools in Melaka, a state at the south of Peninsular Malaysia.  In this place study, the instrument in the form of inquiry is distributed to a sample of 120 primary and preparatory school teachers. Skilled is an 80% response rate.  Experts judge the content validity, while preliminary factor reasoning (EFA) measures the construct validity.  Within consistency dependability, which is determined by beginning coefficient dependability or Cronbach Alpha, is used to assess the implement's reliability.  This ship study's findings indicate that the tool is valid and reliable. Finally, 68 things are retained out of a total of 71.
