Possibilities of Solving the Stability of Salt Strata Penetrated by Drilling: A Descriptive Study| Chapter 6 | Emerging Challenges in Environment and Earth Science Vol. 3

The rendering of oil structures apparent in the deep layers in Romania limits the penetration of some thick salt deposits (500-3,000 m) positioned above structures with petroleum potential (6,000 m). Drilling through these salt deposits is a major risk both during construction (drilling, cementing) and thereafter to ensure the wells' stability and dependability. These considerations shaped the approach to the salt deformation behaviour study challenge. The purpose of this article is to examine the following: salt behaviour deformation; establishment of the required parameters to ensure the stability of the drillings until bore-hole lining (particularly the secondary stress state around the drilling, the density of the drilling fluid in relation to temperature, respectively the depth), and also after casing (type of cement pastes, nature, quality, and pipe dimensions), namely the reliabilit The findings may aid in the selection of various options for guaranteeing the stability of boreholes that reach salt layers.

Grounding of the Longitudinal Distance from the Plow Corps to the Center of the Disk Skimmer | Chapter 2 | Innovations in Science and Technology Vol.8

The theoretical grounding of the longitudinal distance from the plough corps to the centre of the disc skimmer is discussed in this article. The longitudinal distance (I) from the tip of the ploughshare to the centre (Od) of the disc and the determination of the distance (y) of the soil discarding were theoretically substantiated. The angle () of attack, depth (hg) stroke, radius (r) of the sphere, radius (R) of the disc, and angle (k) of the ploughshare installation to the furrow wall are all factors that influence the longitudinal distance.

Determining the Effect of Annealing on the Crystal Structure of CoSi2/Si (100) Formed by MBE, SSE and RE Epitaxy Techniques| Chapter 3 | New Approaches in Engineering Research Vol. 5

The paper presents original experimental results related to the study of the effect of annealing on the crystal structure of the surface of silicon doped with cobalt ions. The findings of research on CoSi2/Si(100) epitaxial structures formed by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), solid phase epitaxy (SPE), and other techniques are presented. It has been established that there are relationships between the morphology, stoichiometry, and growth conditions of CoSi2/ Si structures. The Auger The ratios of the intensities of Auger signals of cobalt and silicon in the CoSi2 layer, as well as silicon in CoSi2 and silicon substrate, were determined using the sample profile. The authors back up the notion that under particular heat treatment circumstances, epitaxial silicides are generated due to radiation of a single crystal's surface, which can act as conductive layers or metal coated layers. MBE, SSE, and other technologies have been used to create structural state diagrams of CoSi2/Si (100) thin-film systems.
