Promoting Health and Preventing Developmental Challenges through Movement, Play, and Sports in Children and Adolescents | chapter 7 | An Overview of Disease and Health Research Vol. 5

The conditions of life under which children and adolescents are growing today have changed a lot in recent decades. Children and teenagers have to face multifaceted mental and social burdens. The disappearance of free natural spaces for movement, and the growing use of media and technology, lead to a loss of spatial, social and direct physical-aesthetic experiences. Consequences for children and young people are often expressed as weaknesses in coordination and physical posture, obesity, perception and cognitive impairment, antisocial and aggressive behaviour, reduced physical strength, addiction problems, as well as mental and psychosomatic damage. The aim of this study is to explore the role of movement, play, and sports in promoting health and preventing developmental, psychological, and social challenges among children and adolescents, by identifying how structured physical activities can support their physical, mental, and emotional well-being in the face of modern societal pressures.  The method adopted for the study was a review of the bibliography. The study identifies the potential of movement, play and sport to prevent developmental disorders of children and adolescents due to drug use, physical illness, psychosomatic disorders, and psychosocial disorders. In conclusion, offers, in terms of movement, play and sports, should be organised in such a way that children and young people experience success. To achieve this, it is necessary for the teaching and learning method to be individualised and diversified, to offer simplifications and to present achievable and accessible goals.

Video Transformation for the Facilitation of Skill Learning in Sport | Chapter 9 | Advances and Challenges in Science and Technology Vol. 2

This study was attended on an video image conversion method that can simplify skill learning in sport utilizing recorded competition videos. The projected method for the ability learning targeting far eastern discipline or sport competition are detailed in this paper. The method resides of two stages. The first stage compensates for partially photographed karate contest field in the input video concept by generating a complete field image by way of a deep neural network (DNN) located image-generator. The alternator was developed established a pix2pix framework to perform this concept transformation. The second stage utilizes the gain image of the engine converting energy and the players’ stick models to convert the output figure into a front view image. The transfered video is valuable for observing not only the players’ motions, but too the entire flow of the contest. The evaluation experiment showed that the molded video promotes ease of attention. By the proposed plan, it becomes possible to together observe players' activity skills and the overall strategies on the field such as formations, thereby reveal new possibilities for broadcast-based sports learning.

Study on Aesthetics, Art and Sport: A Perspective towards “Argument from Intertwining” | Chapter 8 | Selected Topics in Humanities and Social Sciences Vol. 1

Significant Enlightenment philosophers in aesthetics, such as Schopenhauer and Hegel, form the foundation of many of our aesthetic ideas. After briefly unpacking their ideas in this regard, I argue that such philosophers are unable to deal with non-mimetic art, such as abstract painting, and that their views on aesthetics only apply to a subset of the visual arts. In this case, I propose an alternative aesthetics that takes into account artistic advances. Specifically, a metaphorical view of art. Another way to perceive the metaphorical play of images and/or words is to recognize the distinction that analytical philosophers make between various meanings of the word "is," as in mimetic resemblance. This aesthetics conception appears to argue for the pervasiveness of aesthetic experience, undermining the said philosophers' hierarchical framework. elevation of the arts above ordinary experience This invites a different aesthetic, in which sport can be regarded as a type of art. In this regard, the role of metaphor, both positively and negatively devolving from the post-modern "language turn," leads to a holistic conception of experience, whether classified as art or sport, and this is argued for as the so-called "argument from intertwining."

The Triple Helix Argument for Establishing Partnerships between Physical Education and Industry | Chapter 8 | Modern Perspectives in Language, Literature and Education Vol. 4

The purpose of this study was to discover methods for encouraging collaboration between the industry and the physical education academy. In-depth interviews were conducted with participants from the business and academic worlds. The Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communications (MCTIC) Innovation Portal and the representativeness of Brazil's GDP were used to select the research subjects, with preference given to enterprises ranked among the top fifty in terms of value. The analysis of the interviews revealed four significant categories: mandatory society, addictive state, decontextualized formation, and synergy. The most important strategy, according to respondents, is to listen to the people and combine the efforts of all institutions to deliver what society expects. In practice, however, there is a more traditional behavior. This behavior reflects a mindset that disregards societal expectations in favor of a tactical rather than strategic approach.
