Health Benefits of Yoga in Daily Life: “A Modern Scientific Perspective” | Chapter 5 | Recent Updates in Disease and Health Research Vol. 4

Yoga is a mind-body practice with origins in ancient Indian philosophy 2000-4000 years ago. Now, it is accepted as a healthy form of scientific exercise worldwide. Yoga is derived from a Sanskrit word “Yuj” which means “Union” between body, mind and soul. It combines physical exercises, breathing exercises, and mental exercises. Yoga is a journey towards perfection, or union with the divine through self realization. It is a holistic way of life leading to a state of complete physical, social, mental, and spiritual well-being. Many studies have been done and found yoga therapy to be beneficial for management of various diseases like mental stress, obesity, diabetes, hypertension, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, low backache, cancer and many more. Taking into account so many therapeutic benefits of regular yoga practice in different ailments, it is now practiced by health care professionals along with modern medicine to prevent, reduce or alleviate structural, physiological, emotional and spiritual pain and suffering. It is a old-new way to healthy life and hence world peace.

Literature of the 'Coupeuse': Spatialising in Torabully's 'Coupeuses D'Azur’ | Chapter 3 | Progress in Language, Literature and Education Research Vol. 6

This paper analyses the contributions that Mauritian female indentureship has on literature of the female indentured. In Mauritian literature, views of indenturedship are often a topic for discussion towards postcolonial literature, which is about “dislocation” (Nair, 2013) that is displacement from emigration. With a close focus on contemporary 2010s Mauritian literature of Khal Torabully’s Coupeuses D’Azur (2014), this paper focuses on the female indentured dislocation. Analysis of the female indentured dislocation is organized through the field and the body of the Coupeuse (that is female cane-cutter) in Coupeuses D’Azur. This paper aims to analyse the female indentured from the theoretical lenses of space. In this correspondence I shall draw from Gerhard Van den Heever’s (2017) spatialising practices to tease out the dislocation of the female indentured labourer as it happens in Coupeuses D’Azur. Using an interpretive qualitative stance, this paper presents Coupeuses D’Azur from the perspectives of the Coupeuse prior to and post migration events iterated as her body reacts with her space in the field. Therefore, this paper concludes that the body engagement of the Coupeuse is receptive to space signification on interpretation of her space in the field.

Realization of Acoustic Method of Colorado Beetle Elimination | Chapter 4 | Fundamental Research and Application of Physical Science Vol. 9

The purpose of the study is the machinelike characteristics of a living crowd. The article checks the specifics of the impact of audile waves on the organisms of living beings. It is usually known that vibrations and audile oscillations can cause both negative and beneficial influence on living organisms. The most injurious effect is caused apiece tone audile oscillations when the tone commonness coincides with the reverberation frequency of all body or individual organs. It is implicit that such reverberation frequencies of human means fall between 0.5 and 20 Hz. Only in this place situation, when one is in an acoustic field accompanying a frequency that is to say not the same as their reverberation frequency, can the human body be protected from harmful audile waves. On the contrary, we can use the effect of acoustic fields on the creatures of plant pests accompanying a frequency equivalent to the resonant repetitiveness of the pest's frame. Then the acoustic field will have a hurtful effect on the plant pest. The dying of the Colorado beetle under the influence of shakings and acoustic shakings was discovered engaged. It is necessary to note negligence of the beetles bear hardship acoustic influence in a style of radiation of monochrome waves. Any influence of acoustic waves on a vegetable at direct survey, and also after opportunity till the harvesting importance had not been told. The method and design for its exercise are developed and defined below. The author recorded in the Patent Office of Ukraine "Acoustic solution of the Colorado bulge and device for implementation" No. 25548 A 01 M 1/04, 1/18 October 30, 1998. Destruction of the Colorado bulge by affecting allure body accompanying acoustic shakings. in accordance with the decline of labor intensity of the movement with raised toxicity. The results of this work are of excellent importance in the study of the friendship between the processes in the atmosphere of the Earth and the residence through acoustic quiverings.

Acoustic Method of Colorado Beetle Elimination: Experimental Results | Chapter 5 | New Trends in Physical Science Research Vol.7

This article explores the distinctive effects of acoustic waves on living things. The objectives of the research are mechanical aspects of living beings. Human organs are known to have crucial resonance frequencies between 0.5 and 20 Hz. And only those who are in an acoustic environment with a frequency that is different from their resonance frequency may be protected from damaging acoustic waves on the human body. On the other hand, we may make advantage of the effect of acoustic fields on organisms that cause plant pest problems at a frequency that matches the resonance frequency of the pests' bodies. The plant pest will thereafter be killed by the sonic field. Due to acoustic vibrations and vibratory oscillation, the Colorado beetle perished in the lab. The procedure and the device that will be used to carry it out were developed and are described below. Acoustic vibrations are used to manipulate the Colorado beetle's body, simplifying the procedure and preventing toxicity.

Total Body Rings Increase with Latitude and Decrease with Precipitation in Forest Millipedes Centrobolus Cook, 1897| Chapter 13 | New Visions in Biological Science Vol.9

Juliformia's size is determined by two factors: body diameter and number of rings. The researchers wanted to see if there were any links between latitude and precipitation and body rings and sexual size dimorphism (SSD) in Centrobolus. The number of body rings in females and latitude (r=-0.53, Z score=-2.35, n=19, p0.01) and the number of body rings in males and latitude (r=-0.41, Z score=-1.74, n=19, p=0.04) had a significant link. The number of body rings in females and precipitation (r=-0.60, Z score=-2.76, n=19, p0.01), as well as the number of body rings in males and precipitation (r=-0.60, Z score=-2.76, n=19, p0.01). The number of body rings differed somewhat between males and females (W=22.5, Z=-1.61, n=19, p=0.05); females had more rings. Lower precipitation, not temperature, is connected to an anamorphic rise in the number of body rings in higher latitudes (South).

Women in the Ancient Athenian Context: Retrospective Study from an Ecofeminist Perspective | Chapter 12 | New Horizons in Education and Social Studies Vol. 2

I discern in Greek myths of the goddess Athena traces of the idea of domination of mind over senses, and that men were seen as superior to women because of their naturally ruling mind. The Athenian, Platonic, androcentric, hierarchical worldview saw women as physically inferior to men. Behind courageous, wise Athena, lies Plato’s dualistic philosophy of reason, and the ideology of control. We must make a distinction between a dualistic philosophy and a holistic approach to reality. Ancient goddess Hestia’s inextinguishable flame as energy of all life extended to the entire world can be read as symbolizing the interrelatedness of all life.
