Semantic Enrichment of XML Schema to Transform Association Relationships in ODL Schema | Chapter 9 | Research Updates in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 1

 This Chapter deals with basic introductory concepts on translating the Entity-Relationship Data Model relationship types from an enriched XML schema to an object-oriented one. Database migration is a process wherein all the components of a source database are converted to their equivalents in the environment of the target one.

 

We chose oriented object database as a target database because there are many common characteristics between XML and object-oriented model, Thus the mapping from XML data into object-oriented databases is more interesting; also the object-oriented data bases have become very widespread and acceptable, they offer an evolutionary approach, so we agree that it is time to develop a translation between XML and OO databases. Our work is focused on preserving Semantics transformation of association relationships, we describe set of rules to create ODL classes from an enriched XML schema, the experimental show that the approach is feasible, and results are the same, the source database is transformed into target one without loss of data. Our future work, will be on developing a better mapping taking into account the definition ODL allowing to establish correspondences between concepts that were not taken into account such as inheritance relationship, besides the addition of these concepts allows to specifically identifies semantic links between elements.

Navigating the Challenges of Aging: A Study on Life Satisfaction and Support Expectation among Older Adults in Nigeria | Chapter 7 | Current Innovations in Disease and Health Research Vol. 9

This member highlights about life Delight and Support Expectation among Earlier Adults in Nigeria. Growth satisfaction has recently existed introduced as the best sign of the quality of life. Delight with life is a somewhat general and deep inner satisfaction that emanates from individual knowledge in the outside world. Life vindication is considered as a subjective idea that assesses several ranges including health, emotional, and social in earlier people’s life, it could be an necessary part of successful fading This observatory, cross sectional study was completed activity at the Geriatric clinic of the Area of Family Medicine, Ekiti State University Hospital connected with university, Ado Ekiti over a three period period (October 2022-December 2022). A total of 128 subjects engaged in in the study out of which 28.9% were appeased with life. Anticipation of support was mainly from the family, less from the society and very low from the management. The level of support received from all sources mainly fell short of expectations. Matrimonial status and source of occupation were significantly associated with history satisfaction. There is incompetent social support from the management and support from family and community drop below expectations. The larger dissatisfaction with history among pensioners may evenly be related to proceeds as government do not pay pensioner as at when due and skilled is no so-cial insurance for the older adults in Nigeria. The most forceful correlation between anticipations of support and life satisfaction was establish. In order to fulfill earlier folks' beliefs and raise their degree of life delight, support needs to be provided.

Organic Manure on the Crop Yield of Corn (Monoculture in Association with Cowpea) in Ngandajika Region in Central Democratic Republic of Congo: A Comparative Analysis | Chapter 6 | Research Highlights in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 3

 The present study highlights to compare the two coprolites Tithonia diversifolia and club stool in both monoculture systems as association that's used by tropical directors inSub-Saharan Africa, particularly the DRC, with the variety of QPM. This logic includes the artistic association system, which is used by small growers and the maturity of growers inSub-Saharan Africa. still, this system faces the same limitations as the conventional system, similar as the lack of readily available organic fertiliser despite input from the most accessible agrarian patron in tropical areas. Tithonia diversifolia and stool- club organic emendations can be set up in the tropics, with the club parentage ways producing club stool that have just been developed. Both diseases may well contribute to the development of husbandry, not only because of their uproariousness in nutrients, but also their vacuity. A study was conducted in the region Gandajika by testing, both organic diseases in monoculture sludge( QPM variety) and in association with cowpea. The organic ordure can be recommended to growers in their product systems in tropical regions, especially those in the read Ngandajika region.

A Descriptive Model of Amsams and Genes Transmission from Seven Generations | Chapter 12 | New Visions in Biological Science Vol. 2

 According to an article in the Tamil magazine Subayogam, during his reproductive years, a man will have 84 "amsams," 28 of his own and 56 passed down from his paternal line forefathers over six generations. The goal of the study was to compare the amsams passed down not only from paternal forefathers but also from maternal forefathers to the genes in the human genome. The authors of the current study concluded that the same 84 amsams found in men could also be found in the gametes of women, and that offspring receive amsams from both paternal and maternal grandmothers. The relationship between amsams and genes identified in Homo sapiens has also been studied. The individual's 28 amsams could be more or less equal to the non-identical 30 genes computed as 0.1 percent of 30,000 genes. The genetic constitution of the cloned cells differs from that of their parent, as evidenced by the amsams or genes.

Association of Bacteria with Superficial Fungal Infections | Chapter 8 | Recent Research Advances in Biology Vol. 4

 Superficial fungal infections involving human hair, nails, epidermis, and mucosa are known as benign infections caused by pathogenic fungi. Because of their ability to cling and expand over and within the intact skin surface, fungal infections acquired this reputation, extracting nutrients from the skin as they are unable to produce their own food. Bacteria associated with superficial fungal infections were identified and determined by this research. In the Dermatophilosis Research Centre, National Veterinary Research Institute Vom, Plateau State, Nigeria, sample selection and analysis were conducted over a span of sixteen (16) months. From subjects referred to the Centre from various hospitals with evident skin infections, nine hundred and forty (940) human skin and nail scraping samples were obtained from different parts of the body. Normal microbiological methods including: wet mounting, tease mounting, culture and biochemical tests for isolation and identification of fungi and bacteria were used to perform sample analysis. Of the 940 samples, 892(94.9 percent) developed fungal species, including: Microsporum 45(4.8 percent), Trichophyton 176(18.7 percent), Aspergillus 216(22.9 percent), Epidermophyton 32(3.4 percent), Candida 72(7.7 percent), Mucor 141(15.0 percent), Rhizopus 52(5.5 percent), Fusarium 12(1.3 percent), Bipolaris 23(2.5 percent), Sporothrix 74(7.9 percent), Penicillium 32(3.4 percent) and Penicillium 32(3.4 percent) (1.8 percent ). All 940 (100 percent) samples yielded a variety of bacteria including: Staphylococcus aureus 125 (13.3 percent), Staphylococcus epidermidis 145 (15.8 percent), Micrococcus luteus 233 (24.8 percent), alpha-hemolytic Streptococci 89 (9.5 percent), Escherichia coli 59 (6.3 percent), Proteus mirabilis 113 (12 percent), Bacillus subtilis 78 (8.3 percent) and Klebsiella pneumonia 98 (8.3 percent) (10.4 percent ). From all sites of infection, Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis and Micrococcus luteus were isolated, while Micrococcus luteus was isolated from all infections of moist ulcerous and dry scaly skin. This research clearly demonstrated that bacteria are associated with superficial fungal infections and noted that the most prevalent bacterial organism associated with superficial fungal infections was Micrococcus luteus. Any of the bacteria isolated can grow infections via broken skin under favourable conditions, thus complicating or prolonging the treatment of the skin infection.

Association between Knowledge and Drug Adherence among Patients with Hypertension in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman-UAE | Chapter 13 | Current Topics in Medicine and Medical Research Vol.2

Objectives: To investigate the current health status of hypertensive patients in UAE.
Methodology: A questionnaire was delivered to random sample of 385 hypertensive patients in Abu
Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman. SPSS version 20 was used for data entry and analysis.
Results: Out of the 385 patients, 353 (91.7%) had high knowledge value and scored within the high
knowledge category while 32 (8.3%) considered as having poor knowledge and scored within the poor
knowledge category. On the other hand, 325 (84.4%) of the study participants showed good
adherence to medication and scored within the positive attitude category while only 60 (15.6%)
showed poor adherence to medication and scored within the negative attitude category. Spearman
rank order correlation coefficient (rho) between total knowledge score and total adherence score was
used to indicate the association between knowledge and adherence among the study participants.
Conclusion: The result of the study clearly showed that there was positive correlation between
knowledge and drug adherence among hypertensive patients in UAE.Despite this finding, it is
believed that medication adherence is a multi-factorial phenomenon and knowledge is only one key of
these factors.
