Preparation and Antimicrobial Evaluation of N'-arylidene-3-(4-phenyloxazol-2 yl)propanehydrazides| Chapter 6 | Recent Developments in Chemistry and Biochemistry Research Vol. 5

 

 

Construction of a series of N'-arylidene-3-(4-phenyloxazol-2-yl)propanehydrazide 4a–4j was achieved through the development of an easy, effective, and environmentally safe method. Under moderate reaction conditions, each substrate was obtained in good yield. IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass analysis were used to characterize each prepared hydrazone. Moreover, an antimicrobial activity screen was conducted on compounds 4a–4j. The prepared compounds' anti-microbial properties were tested against four bacterial strains Bacillus cereus, Bacillus megaterium, Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas campestris, and Candida albicans. Compounds 4i, 4f, and 4a demonstrated superior activity against Xanthomonas campestris, the compounds 4j, 4a, and 4h demonstrated good activity against Bacillus megaterium, the compounds 4a–4j display moderate activity against Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans.

Antimicrobial, Analgesic and Anti-inflammatory Activity of Some Synthesized Quinazoline Derivatives| Chapter 6 | Current Overview on Pharmaceutical Science Vol. 4

 Series of 7-chloro-3-[substituted (amino/phenyl amino)]-2-phenyl quinazolin-4(3H)-individual/thione derivatives and 1-(7-chloro-4-oxo/-2-phenylquinazoline-3 (4H-yl)) substituted urea derivatives were combined and characterised The reaction proceeds through the middle 7-chloro-2-phenyl-4H-benzo[d] [1, 3] oxazin-4-one. Synthesized compounds were characterised from shade resembling such a color (IR), 1H nuclear magnetic reverberation (NMR) and mass spectra (m/z) and basic analysis. By using the agar spread cup plate method, tail computer-assisted education, and carrageenan-induced paw oedema order, respectively, the uncontaminated, analgesic, and anti-instigative efficacy was examined. Based on the hide data of the new quinazoline derivatives, five compounds are establish to be effective accompanying antimicrobial activity. Five compounds shown good analgesic and anti-angering activity.

Determining the Anti-Inflammatory and Anti-Microbial Activity of Chalcone from Dalbergia sissoo Roxb. Leaves | Chapter 13 | Current Aspects in Pharmaceutical Research and Development Vol. 6

 The isolation and characterization of a chalcone or okanin [(E)-3-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-1-(2,3,4-trihydroxyphenyl) prop-2-en-1-one] has been disclosed in this paper. Bio-assay-guided fractionation was used to isolate the cells. Methanol, hexane extracts, and isolated okanin from methanol extracts all had antibacterial action against gramme positive (Micrococcus luteus and Staphlococcus aureus) and gramme negative bacteria (Escherichia coli, R. planticola and Acinetobacter). Hexane extracts, methanol extracts of Dalbergia sisso Roxb, and okanin have all been examined for their anti-inflammatory properties. The methanolic extract was the most active. Dalbergia sissoo dried leaves have antibacterial, antiprotozoal, and anti-inflammatory properties. This is the first time a chalcone from the genus Dalbergia has been discovered. The discovery shows that more research is needed to determine the presence of novel phytoconstituents.
