Preparation and Antimicrobial Evaluation of N'-arylidene-3-(4-phenyloxazol-2 yl)propanehydrazides| Chapter 6 | Recent Developments in Chemistry and Biochemistry Research Vol. 5

 

 

Construction of a series of N'-arylidene-3-(4-phenyloxazol-2-yl)propanehydrazide 4a–4j was achieved through the development of an easy, effective, and environmentally safe method. Under moderate reaction conditions, each substrate was obtained in good yield. IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass analysis were used to characterize each prepared hydrazone. Moreover, an antimicrobial activity screen was conducted on compounds 4a–4j. The prepared compounds' anti-microbial properties were tested against four bacterial strains Bacillus cereus, Bacillus megaterium, Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas campestris, and Candida albicans. Compounds 4i, 4f, and 4a demonstrated superior activity against Xanthomonas campestris, the compounds 4j, 4a, and 4h demonstrated good activity against Bacillus megaterium, the compounds 4a–4j display moderate activity against Escherichia coli, and Candida albicans.

Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Activity of Some Novel Substituted 1,3,4-Pyrazole Derivatives | Chapter 5 | Novel Aspects on Pharmaceutical Research Vol. 3

 In the study, a series of novel substituted 1,3,4-pyrazole derivatives were combined by the backlash of substituted acetophenones are condensed with hydrazides to the equivalent hydrazones. the development of novel descendants of pyrazoles and evaluation of their bioactivities have found a distinguished place in the drug discovery uses. All newly synthesized compounds were typified on the basis of IR, 1H NMR and Mass ghostly data and screened for their antioxidant and antagonistic-inflammatory activities. Among bureaucracy, compounds 4c and 4e exhibited important antioxidant activity in all the four arrangements comparable accompanying standard ascorbic acid. Compounds 4d and 4e showed significant antagonistic inflammatory venture comparable with standard drug diclofenac sodium utilizing carrageenan-induced informer hind paw edema system.
