Trends and Perspectives in Discursive Legitimation Research | Chapter 9 | Recent Research Advances in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 3

This episode presents an analytical biography review of 107 research articles on rambling legitimation. Discourse plays an important role in the creation of legitimation. Numerous studies of rambling legitimation have been achieved. However, few studies have inspected relevant literature accompanying a visual pattern, and a review that resolves its styles is urgent. A bibliometric study using CiteSpace is applied to resolve relevant studies quantitatively and optically, followed by a close approximate analysis to capture various classifications of legitimation strategies, main research methods, and new topics. The results show that much consideration has been compensated to discursive legitimation methods, and various analytical foundations has been projected, but most of the studies are conducted from the view of detracting discourse analysis accompanying van Leeuwen’s framework, testing political issues. It is wished that the study will be helpful for future research.
