A Case Report on Seven Accessory (Supernumerary) Thoracic Ribs in Left Thoracic Wall | Chapter 6 | Advanced Concepts in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 11

Teases are protective ribbon-like thin elements normally present inside the chest divider and are few of the most imaged buildings in the clinical practice. Common tease anomalies include cervical teases, bifid ribs, tease dysplasia, and intercostal fusion. The term “intrathoracic tease” signifies abnormal site of a rib within the thoracic crater.An intrathoracic rib is a rare and favorable congenital anomaly of the thoracic cage. Rib irregularities are relatively ordinary and affect almost individual percent of the general culture A Female cadaver had seven supernumerary intrathoracic teases on the left side. Its point in the posterior mediastinum with lack of attachment to abutting ribs (intercostal mixture) were unusual features. Most usually accessory ribs are guide right side but in the present study it was observed on abandoned side. The case is suggestive of left seven intrathoracic teases (left seven excessive ribs), and hypoplastic left body part. Clinical significance of these abnormalites are usually silent during the whole of life time& discovered incidentally by depict. These should be kept in mind in characteristic diagnosis of thoracic pathology.
