Understanding Supercapacitor Performance: Voltage Dynamics and Internal Parameter Calculations with Validating Experiments | Chapter 2 | Theory and Applications of Engineering Research Vol. 7

Supercapacitors store electrical energy through the development of the double-layer capacitor structure at the interface between the anodes and the electrolyte. The modeling of the supercapacitor (SC) is crucial for its commercial application and can be represented by various models, including electrical, chemical, and electrochemical models. One of the models used to characterize the real-time operation characteristics of the supercapacitor is the equivalent circuit model. In addition to its mathematical complexity, the experiment's time-consuming nature poses a significant obstacle in acquiring the internal parameter values for the SC. The selection of test equipment, together with the experimental design structure, is a crucial factor that influences the correctness of the model. This project focuses on developing a systematic experimental strategy for SC (supercapacitor) modeling utilizing the Neware battery tester. The study describes and discusses the experimental procedure used to determine the internal properties of the SC. The experimental set-up was based on a Neware testing device with eight independent channels and an intermediate machine, host computer with the NEWARE software v7.5.6 and Matlab 2019a. The results were compared to an empirical model developed by earlier researchers. The terminal voltage of the superconductor (SC) was verified through experimentation, with a maximum relative inaccuracy of 0.045%. The proposed approach for parameter evaluation involves using two measurement points in the charge curve, as opposed to the four measurements typically utilized in the literature for both the charge and discharge phases. The model effectively replicates the dynamic behavior of the supercapacitor during the charge/discharge phase, demonstrating the accuracy of the suggested approach and model.

Recovery of Solar Energy for Powering Small Device as Wireless Communicating Nodes | Chapter 05 | Technological Innovation in Engineering Research Vol. 1

In this study, we built and simulated a solar energy recovery and storage system for wireless sensors. To accomplish so, we created models for each component: the solar panel, the adaptation circuit (in which we used the disrupt and observe command in conjunction with fuzzy logic to determine the MPP), and the energy storage supercapacitor. This research is part of an effort to use wireless sensors and actuators to safeguard Senegal's rice fields against grain-eating birds. Energy consumption is a critical factor in this wireless communication method between things. Indeed, it determines how long applications based on this technology will last. This research developed and modelled a solar energy recovery and storage system for powering wireless sensors. We did this by modelling each component, which included the The supercapacitor for energy storage, the solar panel, and the adaptation circuit, which used the disrupt and observe instruction in conjunction with fuzzy logic to discover the MPP. Supercapacitor technology was also used to store energy in the study. In the research region, the models' simulations produce adequate results for a wireless communication node's independent power supply.

An Intelligent Way of Modeling and Simulation of WO3 for Supercapacitor | Chapter 11 | Recent Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 3

In this investigation we studied the different electro-chromic properties of W03 thin films that relates on artificial

neural network. When electro-chromic energy storage devices stores energy for the changes colour, this is useful
in buildings as well as automobiles. Tungsten oxide is also known as tungsten anhydride (WO3). This material is
a combination of oxygen and tungsten. It is oxidative agent. Tungsten oxide or tungsten trioxide is used for
development of many things which are used in daily life for e.g. energy storage, gas sensors, smart window,
photocatalysis etc. The research investigation studies the WO3 thin film for supercapacitor. The simulation
process carried out in MATLAB here researchers checks the results generated by neural network and then that
results are matches with experimental results. For finding optimized supercapacitor we have calculated the error
which found at different hidden neurons in artificial neural network. In the conclusion of this study confirms
that ANN is appropriate tool for modelling of WO3 thin film for supercapacitor.
