Empowering Rural Communities: Insights from North-East India | Chapter 7 | Business, Management and Economics: Research Progress Vol. 3

Rural development, as a whole, refers to the measures and initiatives done to raise the standard of living in rural areas, outlying towns, and isolated villages. These neighborhoods can be identified by their small population density relative to open space. Poverty, on the other hand, is a socioeconomic phenomenon in which a segment of society is unable to meet even its most basic needs. The bare necessities for humans include food, clothing, housing, education, and other necessities of life. The government (Central) has embraced the concept of cluster development to revitalize the existing small and rural enterprises. This will give the company a competitive advantage in three separate ways: through increased productivity, innovation, and the creation of new businesses. The Indian government provides total funding for NESIDS. The program provides funding for initiatives including the construction of physical infrastructure for the delivery of water, electricity, communication, and tourism. Additionally, it emphasizes social infrastructure important to health and education.

Demographics in Prostate Cancer Treatment in the U.S. | Chapter 4 | Current Practice in Medical Science Vol. 6

The most frequently diagnosed disease in men and the second leading cause of cancer death in the US is prostate cancer (PCa). Although localised PCa is becoming less common among American males, it still has a considerable morbidity and mortality rate. We set out to research the variables that might affect how patients and doctors choose their courses of therapy. More precisely, we looked into how different demographic groups in the United States used RP, RT, and AS therapy choices differently to treat localised PCa, paying close attention to the impact of population density. and facility type for cancer centres. The standard of care is not as clearly defined as it is for other malignancies, but many considerations (such as availability, accessibility, and preference) may play a role in selecting a therapeutic choice.

In order to improve patient outcomes, we seek to raise awareness of the complexity of the treatment choices in PCa by exposing these variations in care based on demographics.
