Sublethal Effect of Copper Fungicide on Soil Fauna with Special Reference to Earthworm (Lampito mauritii) | Chapter 3 | Novel Perspectives of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences Vol. 8

 In this study, an attempt has existed made to find the effect of a usual fungicide policeman oxychloride on the anecic earthworm, Lampito mauritii at subtoxic level. Copper, including law enforcement officer oxychloride, is frequently secondhand as a fungicide/decontaminating agent to protect plants from contamination. The recommended lot of copper oxychloride for edible grain fields is 3 g/l which holds 50% copper that is to say 1.5 g policeman/l or 1500 ppm. Though it helps in prevention of fungal contamination on plants but simultaneously it belongings the non-target soil animal world including earthworms at sublethal level. The earthworms that play a bigger role in soil material, chemical and organic improvement of soil are too exposed to the policeman fungicide. So the study aims to find the sublethal effect of the poison on non-target soil animal world earthworms. On exposure to the substitute-lethal application, it remains in bureaucracy utilizing the money but does not contribute definitely towards the system. So, skilled should be a study of the effect of sublethal doses of pesticides and alternate biopesticides endure be chosen for use in the croplands for decline of yield loss on account of pest. Further research work endure include direct biopesticides for the care of crops against pests that will not be damaging to the soil fauna.

Determining the Feeding, Eating, and Emotional Disturbances in Children with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder | Chapter 2 | Emerging Challenges in Agriculture and Food Science Vol. 6

ARFID, or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder, is a relatively recent diagnosis. The Stanford Feeding Questionnaire (SFQ), a picky eating evaluation instrument, was used to determine whether or not children with ARFID differed from control children in terms of emotional issues unrelated to eating or non-feeding. 98 control children and 50 ARFID kids were compared. The Strengths and Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ), Screen for Child Anxiety Related Emotional Disorders (SCARED), and Sensory Responsiveness Questionnaire were completed by the parents (SRQ). The SFQ had 12 questions for problematic eating-related behaviours in children (SFQ-ARFID Scale), and additional 15 items for issues with parental feeding (SFQ-PFP Scale). These two subscales received validation for use as screening measures to determine the level of parental feeding issues and the severity of the children's eating habits (the SFQ-ARFID Scale) (the SFQ-PFP Scale). The results showed that children with ARFID had substantially higher SFQ-ARFID and SFQ-PFP Scale scores than did controls. Children with ARFID reported lower SRQ-Hedonic scores, greater SDQ-Total-Difficulties, and higher SDQ-Internalizing-Difficulties scores as compared to controls. In terms of separating children with ARFID from control children, the SFQ-ARFID Scale performed the best (area under the receiver operating characteristics curve = 0.939, 95 percent CI, 0.895-0.983, p 0.001). These results imply that, in children with ARFID compared to controls, there are more eating-related issues and emotional disturbances in addition to an increase in parental feeding issues.

The purpose of this study was to determine if a clinical diagnosis of ARFID could be supported by the use of the SFQ subscales measuring problematic eating in children (SFQ-ARFID Scale) and problematic feeding behaviours in parents (SFQ-PFP Scale). It also looked to see if there would be any differences between ARFID children and control kids in terms of their general mental state, including several particular domains (anxiety, sensory modulation), which had previously been demonstrated to be more severe in ARFID children.

Authentication of Lambs Feed under Dry and Hot Environment Based on Color Parameters of Fats from Fat-tailed and Thin-tailed Breeds’ Measured Using Visible Reflectance Spectroscopy | Chapter 03 | Research Aspects in Agriculture and Veterinary Science Vol. 6

 Because pasture meat has a higher market value than meat produced in traditional systems, numerous authentication methods have been developed to distinguish it from meat produced in conventional systems. In temperate European settings and breeds, visual reflectance spectroscopy has proved to be successful. The goal of this study was to use reflectance spectroscopy to certify lamb meat from grassland-based systems in North Africa. This study studied the influence of the feeding system (FS) (P vs. S) and breed (Barbarine, BB; Queue Fine de l'Ouest, QFO; and Noire de Thibar, NT) on the weight and colour of perirenal, subcutaneous, and caudal fat in North African lambs. There were a total of 18 P and 18 S lambs utilised in this experiment. Each breed was represented by six P and six S lambs. The colour and reflectance spectra of different fat tissues were evaluated. The FS had a significant impact on the weights of all fat tissues and all colour parameters of perirenal and subcutaneous fat (P0.01), as well as the redness and yellowness of caudal fat (P0.01) (P0.05; P0.01). In all adipose tissues, S lambs showed more lightness and less redness and yellowness than P lambs. The breed had an effect on the weight, lightness, and redness of perirenal fat, as well as the weight and redness of subcutaneous fat, with a significant interaction with FS for subcutaneous fat data. At wavelengths between 450 and 510 nm (method 1, M1) or between 400 and 700 nm (method 2, M2), the reflectance spectra of perirenal, subcutaneous, and caudal fat was measured. Six P and six S lambs were used to symbolise each breed. Different fat tissues' colour and reflectance spectra were analysed. The FS had a significant effect on the weights of all fat tissues and all perirenal and subcutaneous fat colour parameters (P0.01), as well as the redness and yellowness of caudal fat (P0.01) (P0.05; P0.01). S lambs had more lightness and less redness and yellowness in all adipose tissues than P lambs. The weight, lightness, and redness of perirenal fat, as well as the weight and redness of subcutaneous fat, were all affected by the breed, with a significant interaction with the FS for subcutaneous fat data. Evaluation of Wearable Cameras for Monitoring and Analyzing Calf Behavior | Chapter 11 | Research Aspects in Agriculture and Veterinary Science Vol. 4

 It's crucial to know how cattle behave in order to determine their health and management status. Manual livestock observation, on the other hand, is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Furthermore, the presence or position of a human observer during manual observations may affect the cattle's regular behaviour. Because wearable cameras are small and light, they do not interfere with cow behaviour when connected to their bodies. As a result, the goal of this research was to see how well wearable cameras could be used to monitor and analyse cattle behaviour. From December 18 to 27, 2017, four 2-month-old, group-housed Holstein calves were employed in this investigation at the Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine's Field Science Center in Japan. From 10:00 to 15:30, calf behaviour was recorded every 30 seconds using a wearable camera (HX-A1H, Panasonic, Japan) and viewed firsthand between 11:00 and 12:00 and 14:00 and 15:00. The results were compared after the same observer saw the camera recordings corresponding to the direct observation periods. All behavioural data from direct and wearable camera video observations had substantial correlation coefficients (p 0.01). Because the halter extends around the wearable cameras utilised in our investigation, there is a risk of entrapment. As a result, in order to ensure their welfare, calves must be monitored on a frequent basis. Wearable cameras, we conclude, are ideal for watching calf behaviour, particularly posture (standing or laying), rumination, and feeding activities.

A Case Report on Riga-Fede Disease Associated with Natal Teeth in a Premature Female Child | Chapter 6 | Recent Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 11

 Though not typical tooth development defects, natal and neonatal teeth exist. Frequently, they are a segment of dental abnormalities. The prevalence has been estimated to be between one in 2000 and three thousand live births. The purpose of this research is to describe a case of a ten-day-old kid who had natal teeth in the mandibular anterior region and ulcers on the tongue's ventral side. Riga–Fede illness was discovered in the mandibular anterior region, as well as natal teeth with little movement. Riga- Fede sickness has been treated in a variety of ways over the years. To avoid aspiration, swallowing of teeth, and early resolution of the lesion, the treatment strategy included extraction of the natal teeth followed by surgical operation of the extraction socket. At the ten-day follow-up appointment, the lesion had healed satisfactorily. The major goal was to provide professional knowledge about the appearance and management of a natal tooth.

Study about Participation of Women in Dairy Farm Management Practices in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, India | Chapter 01 | Current Topics in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 2

 In India, women play a significant role in dairy farm activities. They conduct the majority of the work in animal husbandry while remaining unnoticed. The purpose of this study is to document their contribution to the dairy industry. The involvement of rural women in dairy farm activities is being investigated in Andhra Pradesh's Krishna district. A total of 225 farm women were chosen based on their ability to hold land. According to the findings, women in the small farmer category were more likely to take animals for pregnancy diagnosis (81.33 percent) and post-calving care (77.33 percent ). Women who were landless were more likely to take their animals for grazing on a regular basis (45.33 percent), collect and feed green fodder (68 percent), and provide concentrates to their animals (68 percent) (88 percent ). Small women dairy farmers (89.33 percent) and landless women (86.66 percent) were more likely than medium farm women (56 percent) to feed their animals dry fodder on a regular basis. Landless (76%) and small (69.33%) farm women were more likely than medium (44%) farm women to clean animal sheds on a regular basis. The majority of landless women used disinfectants on a daily basis to clean animal sheds (49.33 percent ). Women in the landless (69.33 percent) and small (65.33 percent) farm women categories spend a lot of time disposing of faeces and composting it. Women in the small (76%) and landless (73.33%) farmer categories were frequently caring for sick animals. In comparison to landless (5.33%) and tiny (1.33%) farm women, a higher percentage of medium (9.33%) women dairy producers were consistently active in animal purchases.

Effect of Feeding Practices, Dam Age and Grade on Kenya Alpine Dairy Goat Milk Production in Nyeri Region | Chapter 13 | Current Research in Agricultural and Food Science Vol. 5

 Exotic dairy goats have been popular in Kenyan breeding programmes for smallholder production systems, although data on milk output is lacking. Crossbreeding of indigenous goats with exotic dairy types has primarily been used to improve dairy goats, resulting in crossbred populations with varied proportions of exotic genes. A study was conducted to determine the milk yield of dairy goats reared in Nyeri County's high potential and semi-arid zones. This featured 190 smallholder farmers in Nyeri County who raised Alpine dairy goats and were registered with the Dairy Goat Association of Kenya (DGAK), resulting in a 100% sample of the population under study. The dairy goats' age, grade, and feeding techniques were all assessed. The appendix grade in Kieni East produced the most milk (2.69 litres per day), while the foundation grade in Mukurweini produced the least (0.98 litres per day). Higher milk production was related to effective feeding methods in Kieni East, a semi-arid location, where 43 percent of farmers employed concentrates during milking and 48 percent supplemented the feed with minerals. In Mukurweini's high-potential area, none of the farmers took mineral supplements, and only 13% used concentrates during milking. The dam's age was considered for pedigree grade, and it had a considerable impact on average milk production. The pedigree grade in Kieni East and Mukurweini produced the most at the age of 5.0 to 5.9 years, with 2.84 and 2.96 litres per day, respectively. Poor feeding methods, dam age, and dam grade all had a significant (p0.05) impact on Alpine dairy goat milk output, according to the findings.
