Public Action at the Intersection of Two Public Policies in France and Canada: A Comparative Analysis | Chapter 8 | New Ideas Concerning Arts and Social Studies Vol. 5

The term “migrant” refers to foreign immigration policies in the field of the fight against AIDS; it is not suitable for public health issues around immigration concerning immigrants (those arriving) than those already installed on the territory as well. This article is from the statement of a contrast between a strong associative mobilisation around the health of migrants in France during the 2000s and the relative weakness of the dynamics of community organisations around this problem in Canada during the same period. This article investigates how France and Canada, despite their different political systems, address the challenges faced by migrants living with HIV/AIDS from endemic countries. The objective is to analyse how immigration policy and public health policy intersect in shaping responses to this issue. The study relies on a comparative policy analysis supported by documentary review and interviews with key stakeholders in both countries. The findings highlight three main differences: (1) approaches to AIDS prevention and care, with France emphasising coercion and control and Canada privileging cooperation and inclusion; (2) immigration policy, which is more selective in France and more generalized in Canada; and (3) treatment of HIV-positive migrants, where France applies non-systematic screening while Canada has adopted systematic screening. Despite these contrasts, two common trends emerge: first, restrictive immigration measures reduce the rights of migrants in the field of public health; and second, policy responses are increasingly framed through a humanitarian lens that treats access to care as an exceptional measure for foreigners with serious illnesses.

This convergence reveals the tension between immigration control and health protection, and shows how both countries combine rights restriction with humanitarian exception in managing HIV/AIDS among migrants.

On the Comparison of Generic and Human-based Climate Classification Methods | Chapter 4 | Research Advances in Environment, Geography and Earth Science Vol. 7

Aims: Comparison of results obtained by Köppen, Feddema and clothing thermal resistance–operative temperature (rcl–To) models in the Carpathian region for the period 1971–2000.

Study Design: Description of methods and comparison of their results.

Place and Duration of Study: Carpathian region, period of 1971–2000.

Methodology: Comparative analysis of results obtained by Köppen, Feddema and clothing thermal resistance–operative temperature models.

Results: When the Köppen climate type is C (warm temperate), the rcl values are mostly below 1 clo (possible thermal sensation types: "neutral" and "cool"). When Köppen’s climate type is D (boreal), the rcl values are mostly above 1 clo (possible thermal sensation types: "cool", "cold", "very cold"). When the Feddema climate types are "cool, dry" and "cool, moist", the rcl values are mostly below 1 clo. When the Feddema climate types are "cold, dry", "cold, moist", "cold, wet" and "cold, saturated", the rcl values are mostly above 1 clo.

Conclusion: The spatial distribution of climate types of a region can also be characterized in terms of human thermal load.

Comparative Study of Bacteriocin and Antibiotics Employed to Treat Upper Respiratory Tract Infections in Local Population of District Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan | Chapter 6 | Research Advances in Microbiology and Biotechnology Vol. 4

Anti-biotic fighting is aggravated worldwide. Frequently captured infections in the way that respiratory infections produced by bacteria are occasionally found resistant. The present study was engaged to isolate antibiotic opposing bacteria being the reason for upper respiratory area infections (URTI) and to reveal the approximate efficacy of bacteriocin accompanying generally used medicines. Three bacterial strains (Moraxella catarrhalis, Neisseria meningitidis and Alcaligenes sargodhrensis) were identified and private from throat swabs of 391 patients of URTI populating the District Sargodha. Bacteriocin was attained from L. acidophilus following standard available processes. Molecular characterization of bacteriocin was still executed using SDS-PAGE. To pass the comparative study of bacteriocin and commercially applicable antibiotics, varied concentrations of medicines were used against purified bacteriocin. The effects of this research work revealed that normal micro vegetation of throat is upholding the pathogenic bacterial strains. Alcaligenes sargodhrensis was found to be novel strain in this place study based on results of ribotyping and Phylogenetic relationship accompanying Alcaligenes family. All strains (Moraxella catarrhalis, Neisseria meningitidis and Alcaligenes sargodhrensis) were erect resilient to antibiotics (moxifloxacin, ciprofloxacin, levofloxicin, medicine and erythromycin) at more and less degree. Activity of bacteriocin was establish analogous accompanying antibiotics to control the developing medicines resistance between bacterial strains. The present study proposes bacteriocin as innocuous combine of antibiotics as it not only has anti-bacterial venture comparable accompanying antibiotic drugs but also it strengthens the invulnerable system against bacterial explosion.

A Comparison of Two Small Group Teaching Techniques| Chapter 1 | Research Aspects in Arts and Social Studies Vol. 5

A new method of education in narrow group format is being inculcated for one savants. Need is skilled to see the influence of the new technique in addition to to evaluate the determinants for allure priority so it could be reduced expected more creative. Case located knowledge method (CBL) has been in essence during the whole of the experience for any decades immediately and is considered the set means for education limited groups. Our institute selected it few four years back, when it fluctuated towards commutable method of education. It is the basic method for transporting narrow group conversations. We certain to implement the the gamification technique of attending limited group considerations. Need was skilled to see the influence of the new technique in addition to to determine the determinants for allure option so it could be reduced expected more fruitful. The aim search out evaluate the effectiveness of gamification education method distinguished to the usual CBL method both quantitatively and qualitatively. As a result, from June to October 2021, a assorted-procedure randomised regulated trial was attended on first-period medical undergraduates at Khyber Medical College. In this study, group-located education including two together CBL and gamification approaches was secondhand in a cross-over manner. The study written (quantitatively) that post experiment mean score of gamification education method was 3.41±0.982, while for CBL the mean was 3.55±1.055, record an insignificant dissimilarity accompanying p-advantage of 0.608. In subjective study, about 12 (80%) students favorite the gamification method, their understanding being that it instils competitiveness, increases the engrossment of undergraduates in class and their motivation level. This study further demonstrated that the CBL approach had the benefit of keen knowledge through the facilitator performance and was natural to trail on account of the handouts. Some of the established drawbacks of CBL contained the experience that the parties understanding it was a uninteresting and plodding method of education. The stated loss of gamification was that because the planner wasn't directing ruling class, the scholars were doubtful of the veracity of the facts they prepared in the beginning. The study decided an minimal dissimilarity with the two methods quantitatively; nevertheless qualitatively, the graduates chosen gamification, as a better method for learning.

Experimental Study on Citrus Pre-harvest Fruit Drop in Three Major Citrus Growing Areas in Ashanti Region, Ghana | Chapter 5 | Research Highlights in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 3

Citruspre-harvest fruit loss has been a significant issue for citrus growers in the Ashanti region. marketable citrus fields were visited, and an anticipated one hectare( 1 ha) of fruits dropped per the major citrus season previous to harvesting of both the late Valencia and red blood kinds used. Estimates were made frommid-August tomid-September 2015 for the red blood variety and frommid-December 2015 tomid-January 2016 for the late valencia. Twelve trees from each kind were chosen in each ranch using a grid system in order to count or estimate the dropped fruits. In each quarter, sixty( 60) trees of each kind were used. In all three of the citrus growing regions, there was a conspicuous difference in the decline between the red blood variety and late Valencia. In Ahafo Ano South, the loftiest means for red blood variety and late valencia were both reported at 228 and 109, independently. In the locales, red blood variety fell as important as doubly as late Valencia. Of the two kinds, Adansi North had the least unwelcome fruit drop. Despite the fact that there were no statistically significant variations in the total mean drop among the sections, growers in Adansi North had a better propensity to limit fruit loss, presumably through a variety of agronomic treatments. Although Ahafo Ano South's soil pH appeared to be ideal, it had the least zinc content when it came to valencia and red blood oranges. Despite the fact that potassium situations were fairly low in all the sections, this may have averted the quarter from seeing fresh fruit declines.

Outdoor Radon Measurements during 2018 in São José dos Campos, Brazil: Scientific Approach | Chapter 8 | Theory and Applications of Physical Science Vol. 4

During 2018 the intensity and its variation in time were monitored, every hour the presence of radon gas in two distinct points near each other in São José dos Campos, Brazil. One point was situated 25 meters high (ACA tower) and the other 3 meters high (ITA laboratory). Two identical RadonEye RD200 (ionization chamber) detectors were used calibrated in picoCurie/liter (pCi/l) or Bequerel/cubic meters (Bq / m3). These measurements indicate that there is always a (day/night) variation in the intensity of the local radon gas presence. With dry and hot periods, there is increasing in radon gas intensity. Intense rains during short period of time, there is also increasing in presence of the radon gas in that site. Fine and continuous rains provoke decrease in the presence of radon gas measured in the place. Comparisons between radon gas intensities per hour with gamma and neutron changes between (0-10) MeV of energy at the same time interval were observed.
