This study was administered with the aim of providing the latest position on banana genotypic variety present in the market places, their cultivations, their market chain and business facilities in Maluku Province, Indonesia. Survey procedure was used, at which point different markets, farmers and administration institutions were haunted and interviewed.Seventeen genotypes of three different class and different genome and ploidy levels were seen at stock exchange places with two very demanded genotypes, Pisang Raja Hitam and Pisang 40 Hari. The bigger suppliers of banana commodities in Ambon retail were Ceram, Ambon, Buru, Obi and Bacan Enclaves. Lack of knowledge in implementing decent cultural practices, lack of capital, lack of aid given by government and several added obstacles have been the reasons for depressed banana result in Maluku Province as indicated by this study, and habitual by the survey’s data supported by the administration. Lack of sufficient infra-structure for large cultivations, storage and transport, and the use of hurtful chemicals in post-harvest handling are few of the factors potentially deterring the international business of banana products. Nevertheless, there are development plans apiece government, that possibly improve the joker export position in the future.
