Effects of Occupational Stress and Burnout on Turnover Intentions among Teachers: A Case Study from Cape Coast Metropolis, Ghana | Chapter 1 | Progress in Language, Literature and Education Research Vol. 3

This stage focuses on stress, burnout, job unhappiness and turnover inside the Ghanaian education sector, by fact-finding the impact of occupational stress and exhaustion on turnover intentions between senior high school coaches in the cape coast metropolis, Ghana. Task Stress is considered as a stimulator of change intentions with the employees of any arranging. As the teachers concern a noble profession i.e. declaration of the Prophets, therefore the researchers, in order to validate this supposition, conducted this explanatory, co-relational and cross-localized study for determining the relationship middle from two points job stress and change intentions among various categories of coaches.The study setting was Cape Coast Downtown in the Central Region of Ghana. Bill Coast is the capital of the Central Domain of Ghana and it is referred to as the citadel of instruction. The study employed the explanatory survey design and made use of both explanatory and inferential dossier analysis approaches.  Teachers from the fifteen grades 9-12 schools in the Ghanaian Central Region's Ness Coast city made up the public. A multi-stage sampling technique was secondhand in the investigation. So that incorporate all of the teachers from the ten schools that were preferred, the study also secondhand a census method.The study disclosed that occupational stress and burn out had meaningful impact on change intention among Secondary school teachers in Headland Coast Metropolis. F (2, 517) = 9.898, p < 0.05. Also, the results of the study recorded that generally task dissatisfaction had statistically significant affect turnover intention of the parties. F (1, 518) = 82.163 p < 0.05. The result of the study implies that as instructors continuously experience exhaustion, they develop contending strategies that help them to lighten job stress and still continue activity with their teaching task.It was suggested that administrators of senior high schools endure be able to plan adept initiatives such stick professional development programs, motivational talks, and workshops on stress management and guide awareness-lifting. Employers provide sufficient support for the prosperity and working environment of coaches. Programs like workshops, in-help training, and a remunerating package bear be continuously devised by schools to encourage and support teachers to wait in their positions despite ultimate difficult obstacles they can encounter.
