Utilization Pattern of Antenatal Care Services among Pregnant Women in Rural Area of Guntur District, A.P., India| Chapter 9 | Current Innovations in Medicine and Medical Science Vol. 7

The present long study climaxes the sketch of antenatal care taken by significant girls in land distant from settled area of Guntur District, A.P., India. Pregnancy and parturition are meaningful achievements in the lives of daughters and their offspring. This maybe a ending of huge forethought and hope.  This lengthwise study was attended in Prathipadu center that is a country field practice district of Dept of Community Medicine, Katuri Medical College and Hospital, Guntur (A.P.) all the while 2019. All daughters (n =110) from country field practice region of Dept of Community Medicine the one were meaningful in the beginning of the study. Most of the significant wives (93.27%) were recorded for antenatal care, but only 26.36% of bureaucracy were recorded in the 1st trimester of gestation. As regard to TT additional dose of vaccine, 75% of the meaningful daughters had taken 2 doses or 1 additional dose of vaccine. Iron and Folic Acid supplementation was captured by 59.62% of the significant mothers. Nearly 45.19 % of meaningful wives were ready adequate antenatal care. The main antenatal care householder for significant girls was doctor (70.19%). The level of agreement accompanying iron supplementation with the meaningful wives was reduced. The causes for depressed agreement prefer belongings to iron tablets. The knowledge of wives has meaningful concerning antenatal care of meaningful wives. Thus, measures bear be selected for reconstructing female learning.

Availability and Utilization of ICT Facilities for Enhancing University Campus Security in South-South, Nigeria: A Recent Study | Chapter 13 | Recent Recent Advances in Mathematical Research and Computer Science Vol. 8

This study looked on the availability and use of ICT facilities for the goal of improving university campus security in Nigeria's south-central region. The study was led by two research objectives, and one null hypothesis was tested at the.05 level of significance. The study used a descriptive survey research design. A total of 1,520 security professionals from 12 government-owned universities in South-South Nigeria were included in the study. 456 security officers were sampled using the proportional stratified sampling technique. The information was gathered using a "Checklist on Availability of ICT Facilities for Enhancing University Campus Security (CAICTFEUCS)" and a five-point grading scale questionnaire called "Utilization of ICT Facilities for Enhancing University Campus Security (UICTFEUCS)." The instruments were independently evaluated by three experts. The Cronbach Alpha technique was used to determine the instrument's dependability, and reliability values of.75 and.78 were found for the two devices, with an overall reliability coefficient of.77. 433 copies, or roughly 96 percent, of the 456 copies of the instrument given to the respondents were successfully retrieved and used for data analysis. Data for research question 1 was analysed using frequency counts and percentages, whereas data for research question 2 was analysed using mean and standard deviation. The null hypothesis was tested using the Z-test statistic at the.05 level of significance. The findings of the study revealed that ICT facilities are insufficiently available in South-South Nigeria to improve university campus security. In South-South Nigeria, the survey also discovered that there is no significant difference in the mean ratings of respondents from federal and state institutions on the extent to which ICT facilities are used by university campus security officers. According to the study, the availability and use of ICT facilities for improving university campus security in South-South Nigeria was insufficient to tackle security concerns in the university system. The Nigerian government and university officials should train campus security staff on how to use current ICT capabilities, according to the results and conclusions. This is to ensure that they are adequately qualified and prepared to use ICT facilities to combat a variety of campus-related crimes, thereby safeguarding the lives and property of the university community.

Ethnobotanical Study of Medicinal Utilization and Phytochemical Analysis of Baobab Tree (Adansonia digitata L.) in Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria | Chapter 9 | Recent Research Advances in Biology Vol. 8

Traditional medicine encompasses a diverse range of remedies and practises that differ by culture and location. The medicinal use and phytochemical composition of the Baobab tree (Adansonia digitata L.) in Kaduna State's Zaria Local Government Area were investigated. Each of the six (6) districts received twenty (20) surveys at random, for a total of one hundred and twenty questionnaires (120). Ninety (90) of them were found. The findings showed that plant parts (leaves, stems, bark, and seeds) can be utilised to cure and prevent diseases like tuberculosis, anaemia, malaria, and dysentery. diarrhoea; joint problems; anti-diabetic properties; fever; urinary infection, and so on. The most common method of herbal preparation (43.33 percent) is infusion. The leaves, bark, root, seeds, and fruits of the plants are all employed in the preparation of the herbs. The majority of herbal products are ingested in dried form. The respondents' demographic characteristics were also investigated. Males made up 43.34 percent of the population, while females made up 42.34 percent (56.66 percent ). The majority of the respondents (43.33 percent) were between the ages of 31 and 40, and the majority (44.44 percent) were married, with the majority (37.78 percent) having a one to five-person household. The bulk of the responders (51.11 percent) are traditional healers, with 45.56 percent having a secondary education and 2.22 percent having no formal education. Because there were significant differences (p 0.05) between these phytochemicals and their plant parts, quantitative phytochemical analysis indicated the presence of tannins, alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, saponins, and phenolic acid at varying amounts. The presence of many active substances in various portions of these plants explains their wide range of applications in the treatment of various diseases. However, given the rising interest in baobab products (particularly for medical purposes) and the plant's slow development, research should be focused on how to develop a new cultivar with a rapid maturation period. In addition, the local populace, particularly the youngsters, should be educated and encouraged to learn more about traditional medicine so that it does not perish with the old folks. Although conventional medications' high-tech procedures are particularly useful for emergency treatment, herbal therapies are better suited to coping with chronic illnesses.

The Medicinal Importance of Hydrocotyle asiatica Linn. in Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria | Chapter 8 | Recent Research Advances in Biology Vol. 8

Ayurvedic medicine, traditional African medicine, and traditional Chinese medicine all employ Hydrocotyl asiatica (L.) as a therapeutic herb. In Nigeria, however, little is known regarding its medicinal application. In order to pick 10 marketers and 40 herbal practitioners, a multistage sampling methodology was used. Hydrocotyle asiatica water extract has anti-inflammatory and anti-filarial properties, and is used to improve memory and learning ability. Key informants in the Kaduna North Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Nigeria, were given questionnaires on purpose. In the end, though, just 45 were found. The questionnaire asked about the respondents' demographics, the illness they were treating, and the preparation and administration techniques. Headache, cough, scurvy, and mouth sore, fibroid, menstruation discomfort, waist discomfort, back ache, poor libido, sexually transmitted infections, and hypertension are among the ailments treated with H. asiatica, according to the findings. This herbaceous plant can be used alone or in combination with other plants including Pipper guineensis, Ocimum grandiflorum, and Allium cepa. The use of table and tea spoons helps to standardise measurement in the usage of H. asiatica. It is advised, however, that proper storage facilities be provided to prevent excessive kola dryness and pest infestation during storage. Furthermore, the species' biodiversity and biological resources, as well as those of other significant medicinal plants, should be protected so that individual plants do not become extinct.
