New Social Order in the Pandemic Era: Covid-19 and Human Sociology in Makassar | Chapter 6 | An Overview of Disease and Health Research Vol. 7

The COVID-19 pandemic was an unprecedented global event in recent history. Beginning with the initial outbreak occurring in Wuhan, China, in December 2019, the virus rapidly spread across the globe, causing millions of deaths and creating an unprecedented health, economic, and social crisis unlike anything experienced over the past hundred years. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on social interactions and community behaviour in Makassar, Indonesia. This study employed a phenomenological approach and is classified as qualitative descriptive research. Both primary and secondary data sources were included in this study. The results showed that the transmission of Covid-19 was a form of human interaction that, in their social life mutually greeting, intertwining, chatting, and apparently through this kind of interaction, the virus then spread. Physical and social distancing efforts are said to be an effective effort to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Community disobedience to distancing causes Covid-19 pandemic to become worse, and more victims falling, this is in persevere because of social behavior of the community in interacting with various issues that tend to affect the physical condition so as to cause the condition of the body to get sick so that this condition makes the virus easy to get into the body. While the public understands healthy is a condition, not sick. Pain can occur due to a germ or microbial infection into the human body and its infectious nature. There is also a degenerative pain that damages the body's organs (heart, stroke, hypertension, diabetes) because the diet and lifestyle are not appropriate. Covid-19 is a viral infection that is currently spreading rapidly and difficult to overcome because it has not found a vaccine to prevent the virus. Overall, the study emphasizes the importance of strengthening community awareness, promoting healthy living habits, and ensuring consistent government health campaigns to prevent future outbreaks.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD): Understanding Beyond Labels | Chapter 10 | Disease and Health: Research Developments Vol. 9

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is increasingly acknowledged as a varied neurodevelopmental condition, with its global prevalence, including in India, demonstrating a notable upward trend. It is imperative to transcend reductive labels and misconceptions that frame ASD as a disease. Instead, ASD should be understood as a spectrum of neurological differences that influence individuals’ perception, information processing, communication, and interaction with their environment.

Recent advances in scientific research, both globally and within India, have significantly enhanced the understanding of ASD. Emerging evidence highlights a multifactorial etiology involving genetic, environmental, and neurobiological components. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the core characteristics of ASD, addresses prevalent myths, examines etiological and diagnostic frameworks, and reviews contemporary, evidence-based strategies aimed at promoting autonomy, psychosocial well-being, and inclusive participation for children on the spectrum.

The Role of Other Social Beings in Metacognition: How it Defines and How it can be Done for Kindergarden Classroom | Chapter 11 | Progress in Language, Literature and Education Research Vol. 6

First, Kontos’s study explained how parent-child interaction is a necessary precursor to the child’s development of metacognitive skill [1]. In a second study, Gauvain and Rogoff [2] conducted two studies examining the collaborative problem solving among adult-child, child-child and individual child and its impact on children’s solo planning skills. A third study, Harris, Kupinski, and Johnson [3] assessed the influence of maternal teaching on the preschoolers’ categorization knowledge. A fourth study, Perry and her colleagues carried out a qualitative study exploring the teaching-learning contexts and how they fostered learners’ development of self-regulated learning [4]. Finally, Larkin [5] studied how collaborative group work among peers influenced the development of individual metacognitive processing. Collectively, the studies suggest that joint activities create spaces for children to develop metacognitive experience.

Analysis of the Effective Change in Land use Functions and its Impact on City Structure: A Case Study from Baghdad, Karrada, Iraq | Chapter 12 | Novel Perspectives of Geography, Environment and Earth Sciences Vol. 6

The aim of the research search out quantify this situation in the Karrada precinct of Baghdad, and trying to find a fantasy to solve this problem by provided that this change can be supervised positively forward by changing the city’s form functionally, as one of the largest problems is leaving the issue without question Urban scopes, whether conditional the government or a private entity, are outlined in this study as fields empty of buildings as well as repeatedly visited positions including streets, squares, parks, and government houses. The research was inspired for one private sector's power over fluctuating land use activities opposite to city planning principles by land developers and financiers. This change will come in two forms, but the activity itself will be entirely altered. For example, green scopes and orchards could be reconstructed into commercial scopes that house eateries and markets, or the activity maybe intensified while still staying within the same use by separating residential extents into single- or multi-story place of accommodation units. .  The total field of urban spaces has recoiled over the study area's opportunity span as a result of other uses embracing more space than city spaces do, but at the same time, the number of parts in urban scopes has increased over the past magnitude due to the extravagance of commercial use over residential use and the reality that commercial venture creates locations for city agglomeration.
