Effect of Processing Parameters on Mechanical Properties of MMCs by Friction Stir Process | Chapter 09 | Technological Innovation in Engineering Research Vol. 2

The current research intends to give a full explanation of metal matrix composite fabrication employing various combinations of reinforcements and the principles of friction stir method, as well as the influence of input processing parameters on mechanical characteristics. The researchers wanted to see if there was a relationship between the input process parameters and the output responses. Friction stir welding and processing uses a fraction of the energy of other processes. Due to their unique mechanical and metallurgical properties, stability, durability, and corrosion resistance, metal matrix composites have replaced conventional materials in many technological applications. Process factors such as rotation speed, tilt angle, feed, and temperature have a major impact on the mechanical qualities of fabricated composite surfaces when using the friction stir technique rate of deposition The solid-state nature of the manufacturing approach has resulted in an increase in many features of surface composites. The pin profile has an impact on mechanical properties as well. Triangular, cylindrical, hexagonal, and pentagonal pin profiles are the most frequent. On the subject of surface composites, the new research might lead to defect-free welding with improved mechanical properties.

The Current Scenario of HIV/AIDS in India | Chapter 10 | Innovations in Microbiology and Biotechnology Vol. 3

Since its discovery in Chennai in 1986, HIV has been a threat to India. According to the current situation, an estimated 2.1 million people in India would be infected with HIV by the year 2015. The horrible sickness, which was first diagnosed in the country in 1986, gradually grew in incidence until it peaked in the years 2000-2001, when the prevalence reached 0.38 percent. Since 2002, the prevalence has been steadily declining, reaching a low of 0.26 percent in 2015. According to the prevalence, India's various states are classified as high, moderate, or low. The disease was initially limited to the FSW and its clients, but it eventually spread to the broader public via the bridge populace. As the epidemic has progressed, women have become a larger proportion of those living with HIV infection, particularly in rural regions. The National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) was established in 1992 and is currently in its fourth phase.

Influence of Tool Force on Microstructure and Mechanical Properties in AA2024-O Alloy during Friction Stir Welding | Chapter 1 | New Approaches in Engineering Research Vol. 5

The microstructure of the AA2024 alloy weld is strongly dependent on the heat input in the weld in this study, thus it's important to understand the link between these qualities in order to improve the weld's mechanical properties. The microstructure of the AA2024 alloy weld is largely dependent on the heat input in the weld, therefore understanding the link between these parameters is critical for improving the mechanical properties of the weld. weld. The effect of the microstructure on the microhardness of the weld in various zones has been determined. Depending on the heat input to the weld, the structure of several weld zones was investigated. As a result, the experiment was carried out with various amounts of external axial force as well as constant speed of tool rotation and welding. The relationship between the temperature gradient and the microhardness and microstructure of the weld zones has been demonstrated in both normal and transverse directions.
