Risk Factors of Cancer in India: An Analysis of Lifestyle Patterns | Chapter 4 | Current Overview on Disease and Health Research Vol. 5

One of the main causes of mortality and morbidity as well as a major global health issue in the ultramodern period is cancer. Cancer has overhauled cardiovascular complaint as the second biggest cause of death encyclopedically, despite significant improvements in wisdom and drug. About 1 in 6 deaths is due to cancer worldwide. Cancer is caused by the tendencies and the triggers. Tendencies relate to internal, heritable, or inheritable factors, while the triggers can arise from the terrain, one’s life, or from some contagion. Research reveals that in India, 60 – 70 per cent of cancer cases is life- acquainted. After making an logical and descriptive analysis of the secondary sources of data, this paper seeks to assay the part of life patterns in the occasion of cancer in India. The findings so analysed indicate that of all cancer- related deaths, 25 – 30 percent are due to tobacco, 30 – 35 percent are linked to diet, 15- 20 percent to infections, and the remaining chance is due to other factors. Every time, around 1 million new cases of cancer are diagnosed in India. Although some authors suggest that the threat factors for cancer in India are nearly identical to those in other corridor of the world, the distinct socioeconomic patterns andbio-cultural rudiments demand probing indispensable occasion paths. Unhealthy cultures contribute significantly to illness and mortality. Increased public knowledge of the liaison between life and cancer is critical because it can help people comprehend the health impacts of their conditioning and motivate them to make necessary life changes.

Mathematical Modeling on a Typical Three Species Ecology | Chapter 6 | Recent Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 2

In this chapter, we discuss the stability analysis of mathematical modeling on a typical three species ecology. The system comprises of a commensal (S1), two hosts S2 and S3 ie., S2 and S3 both benefit S1, without getting themselves effected either positively or adversely. Further S2 is a commensal of S3 and S3 is a host of both S1, S2. Here all three species are having limited resources quantized by the respective carrying capacities. The mathematical model equations constitute a set of three first order non-linear simultaneous coupled differential equations in the strengths N1, N2, N3 of S1, S2, S3 respectively. In all, eight equilibrium points of the model are identified. The system would be stable, if all the characteristic roots are negative, in case they are real and have negative real parts, in case they are complex. Further, the trajectories of the perturbations over the equilibrium points are illustrated.
