A Preliminary Conceptual Framework for Integrating Inclusive Development into Urban Flood Resilience| Chapter 5| Current Research on Geography, Earth Science and Environment Vol. 5

Cities located in low-elevation and other flood-prone zones continue to grapple with recurrent pluvial flooding and the looming risk of more extreme flood events driven by climate change. These hazards disproportionately affect socially vulnerable populations, and their impacts are often intensified by urban governance models that prioritise exclusive approaches. While flood resilience emerged as a well-intentioned, ecologically friendly solution, it usually inherits these exclusionary practices. This chapter explores the intersection of inclusive development and urban flood resilience to understand how principles of inclusive development can be systematically integrated into flood resilience thinking and practice. Drawing on an extensive review of both bodies of literature, the discussion reveals that, although inclusive development has gained traction across development research, and urban flood resilience has become a prominent theme in climate adaptation studies, the deliberate synthesis of these concepts has remained underdeveloped. We argue that while there are no metrics for measuring inclusive development as articulated by scholars, its guiding principles offer practical entry points for application and assessment. Building on these insights and on established approaches for evaluating flood resilience, the chapter proposes a preliminary conceptual framework for integrating inclusive development into urban flood resilience. This framework is intended to stimulate further scholarly refinement and to support practitioners working in flood-prone urban settings to transition from exclusionary planning toward more integrated, socially responsive, and socio-ecological approaches that promote and strengthen inclusive flood resilience.

Services Architecture and Business Processes Alignment- A Conceptual Framework | Chapter 7 | Mathematics and Computer Science: Contemporary Developments Vol. 6

In today's competitive landscape, organizations are constantly seeking ways to enhance the maturity of their business processes to improve profitability and remain competitive. One effective approach is the alignment of service-oriented architecture (SOA) with an organization's business processes. This chapter presents a conceptual framework designed to achieve this alignment. The framework is tailored to help organizations, particularly in the education sector, integrate multiple Web and SOA-based applications, facilitating seamless data flow across systems. By translating business processes into services, the framework enables organizations to adapt their processes swiftly in response to evolving business needs, thereby enhancing system integration and data flow efficiency. The validity of the proposed framework is demonstrated through a proof of concept (PoC) using Yet Another Workflow Language (YAWL), showcasing its practical applicability.

Conceptualizing Roots and Tubers Market Expansion and Inclusion through Marketing Extension Services | Chapter 5 | Current Topics on Business, Economics and Finance Vol. 5

A good magnitude of the food produced for human use across Nigeria is lost because of lack of organized markets, inadequate post-harvest administration, inadequate storage in households and on farms, and restricted processing capacity. Moreover, relation between farmers’ group and credit organizations are poor. This is cause effort to increase production is not connected with marketing. With rot crops like roots and tubers, storage, wrap, transport and handling technologies are incompetent hence, important amount of produce are wasted. Root and tuber crop producers live mostly in the rural extents and most often do not have access to news regarding prices in urban extents/markets. However, marketing enlargement is the market ward adjustment of agriculture through extension that includes agriculture and commerce as the perfect blend for reaching at dismissal from responsibility steps of farming community by way of appropriate technology using key standard which include capability-based, consistency accompanying business law, commodity development approach, established the value chain framework, and bottom-up and participatory. Thus, this book maintains that in order to expand stock exchange and help farmers raise their competitiveness within a market chain or trade model process, extension must simultaneously devote effort to something farmer organization and on reconstructing the management skills of existent structures. It be necessary that when the intervention (marketing enlargement) is properly implemented apiece programmeme implementers (FMoA, ADPs, Extension worker), on the roots and vegetable value chain performers (farmers, processors, and marketers), there will be an middle outcome (increased retail awareness, access to retail reliable market facts and increased display participation). The intermediate effect will further lead to the final consequence which are demand driven result, easy and fast means of transfer, (market approach), reduced post-harvest losses, raised income, and increased fare security). Therefore, it is determined that land extension is not any more limited to agricultural result alone but also circumscribes additional tasks like marketing of land and rural products, advisors, advisors, and facilitators of laborer learning.

Triangular Approach to Develop a Comprehensive Conceptual Framework to Measure Online Purchasing Intention | Chapter 6 | Current Aspects in Business, Economics and Finance Vol. 10

E-commerce has the largeness of benefits with many challenges. The correspondence of the involved bodies and verifying the rightness of the goods is still a question in online buying. A New Conceptual framework incident was conducted particularly to find a comprehensive model to measure connected to the internet purchasing goal using four studies. A having a theme literature survey was transported to evaluate hypothetical models. Factors identified were gathered and used to build the initial model (Mα) in study individual. To pinpoint a key element in the circumstances of e-commerce in research two, electronics acceptance models and E-duty quality models were exhaustively examined.  The second model testing (Mβ) was created by merging the findings of studies individual and two and regenerating the components.  The triennial model gamma (Mσ) was created accompanying modest alterations to the second model testing (Mβ), according to the Delphi plan's results.  Further, model gamma (Mσ) was tested appropriating the nominal group method with modern experts, and those results validate model gamma, without modifications, and this was before called model mu (Mμ). Online purchase goal was directly compared with the builds of the model, Personal Attributes, Social Influence, Advantage Expectancy, Effort expectancy, Facilitating Conditions, Vendor Quality, Transaction Safety, E-commerce Services, Web Quality, and Trust. The goal to make an connected to the internet purchase was also obliquely related to hawker quality, undertaking safety, buying services, and netting quality through trust.  The equivalences between the model's elements and intention to make an connected to the internet purchase were moderated by age, masculine, and expertise.

International Accounting Standards Board Conceptual Framework: A Brief Review | Chapter 2 | Modern Perspectives in Economics, Business and Management Vol. 7

The research focused on the International Accounting Standard Board Conceptual Framework, which lays out a comprehensive set of ideas for quality financial reporting, standard setting, and professional guidance in developing reliable reporting strategies so that others can try to understand and decipher the principles. The study used a conceptual review technique, focusing on discourses within the realm of narrative proofs from the Global Accounting Standards Board, professional accounting groups, and academic research. The status and purpose of the IASB conceptual framework, which includes the objective of financial reporting, qualitative characteristics of useful financial information, financial statement and the reporting entity, financial statement elements, recognition and de-recognition, and concepts of capital and capital maintenance, were also discussed in the article. As a result, the study determined that while the framework is not a standard, its design is intended to aid the Board in formulating principles and preparers in producing consistent financial reporting methodologies.
