AETCOM: Navigating the Art of Effective Communication |Chapter 3 | Medical Research and Its Applications Vol. 11

The Medical Council of India (MCI) has proposed a new teaching method, known as the Attitude, Ethics, and Communication Module (AETCOM), to improve the MBBS syllabus and better address the country's healthcare requirements. This introduction addresses the shortcomings of the fragmented and neglected traditional methods of teaching empathy and communication, which contributed to a strained doctor-patient relationship and an increase in medicolegal cases. Two years since its introduction, numerous studies have been conducted to evaluate AETCOM's effectiveness. Yet, lingering questions persist, such as whether incorporating humanities into medicine will blend values and the art of medicine with advancing science. The key inquiry remains: Can it successfully instill integrity in Indian medical graduates, and if not, what measures should be taken for improvement? The authors aim to raise awareness and spark curiosity among both the medical community and the general population through this article, seeking to identify immediate improvements necessary to ensure the development of proficient doctors in the future [1].

A Review on Healthcare System in Saudi Arabia: Opportunities and Obstacles | Chapter 4 | Disease and Health: Research Developments Vol. 9

Access to healthcare remains a significant challenge for many individuals, particularly in third-world countries. The ability to obtain healthcare services encompasses prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and the management of diseases, illnesses, disorders, and other health-impacting conditions. Like many nations, Saudi Arabia strives to deliver high-quality and cost-effective healthcare services to its population. In recent years, the overall health of the Saudi population has witnessed significant improvement. However, the healthcare system continues to face a range of complex mid- to long-term challenges. These challenges include the multifaceted roles of the Ministry of Health, limited financial resources, and evolving patterns of disease, among others. Healthcare services in Saudi Arabia are organized into four levels: primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary care.  Recognizing the importance of healthcare, the Saudi Arabian government has invested substantial resources to enhance the system, with the ultimate goal of providing free and accessible healthcare services for all Saudi citizens and expatriates working in the public sector. This review aims to provide an overview of the healthcare system in Saudi Arabia and examine the challenges it currently faces. In conclusion, the path forward involves not only financial investment but also fostering collaboration across governmental and non-governmental sectors to implement evidence-based policies. Leveraging expertise, advancing digital health solutions, and prioritizing public health education will be essential components in overcoming these obstacles. With careful planning and determination, Saudi Arabia is well-positioned to lead by example in healthcare innovation and provision, ensuring equitable access and improved health outcomes for all its residents.

Key Drivers of University Hospital Development in China: A Public Value Theory Perspective | Chapter 7 | Scientific Research, New Technologies and Applications Vol. 8

Over the last two decades, governance for global health has garnered more attention from policymakers, decision-makers, and scholars from several disciplines. Internationally, health quality is widely regarded as an important indicator of a country’s level of social and economic advancement. In the last 40 years, China’s healthcare system has come a long way since it was established. According to the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) report, the country’s annual health spending would rise by an average of 11.8%, while this represents a lower percentage of GDP (5.6%) than in most affluent countries. Public criticism of the unbalanced development of medical and healthcare services, the pursuit of medical quality and level, and the expectation of medical fairness and efficiency are also increasing step by step. Therefore, this study conducted a strategic triangle as an analytical framework to identify and analyse the key factors influencing the development of university hospitals in China. Five university hospitals designated as "Grade A tertiary hospitals” were used as examples to analyse strategic management techniques in medical complex systems. A qualitative approach was adopted by semi-interviews conducted with 33 participants including experts, university hospitals leadership level, and basic level. The results revealed that understanding these factors is crucial for improving healthcare performance and achieving sustainable development within the global health landscape.

Role of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Enabling IoT-Enabled Healthcare Systems | Chapter 4 | Research and Applications Towards Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 2

The Internet of Things (IoT) and machine intelligence (AI) technologies are a organic match for future expansion. IoT uses the computer network to link everything in the sphere. IoT devices have infinite information in chips and sensors because there are many connected devices, which resources there is plenty data that maybe used to empower individuals completely facets of their history. The significant amount of dossier created by IoT devices is excessive for even humans and calculating algorithms to analyse and analyse. Algorithms for machine learning and artificial intelligence so aid in ruling them. The working answer to ruling the numerous linked IoT elements is provided by AI. Learning proficiencies and limitless data conversion that are produced by IoT devices are the important concern. The businesses are engaging machine learning (ML), a potent arm of artificial intelligence (AI), to resolve this problem. The smart wholes give an accurate forecast for asking ML to IoT data. IoT AI requests help businesses decrease unscheduled downtime, create new aids and products, run more capably, and manage risk better. In healthcare, smart homes, independent cars, farming, and marketing, this alliance is mostly employed. This survey study addresses healthcare uses based on machine intelligence (AI) and the internet of belongings (IoT) in these numerous applications. Additionally, it presents a review of various IoT AI algorithms for early illness prophecy in the medical field.
