Self-medication Practice: A Way Forward| Chapter 5 | Current Overview on Pharmaceutical Science Vol. 4

 Medications are a detracting tool in community health practise. Since the 1980s, self-medication (SM) is of prime community health importance as the World Health Organization, altered some formula drugs to be convinced over the counter to defeat the burden on health-care professionals. Each drug has allure own advantages and hurts. As a result, they must always be secondhand with caution. Given this, a current trend in scrutinizing the prevalence of SM has embellished. Even the addictions are considered generally as a kind of self-drug, which can make more copies of anxiety or pain temporarily, but influences the lives and health of two together the addicted and their desired ones. Hence, this review critically judged the studies to put arrive the basic idea of SM.

 Smartphone health applications have a lot of potential for monitoring chronic diseases and changing health-related behaviours because of their massive public reach. These health apps have the potential to greatly reduce the burden on the health-care system by allowing people to monitor their chronic conditions remotely from home, which is especially important in light of the recent increase in the number of older people with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and so on.
