Comparative Analysis of Linear Congruential Random Generator Algorithms Using Python and Java Languages | Chapter 7 | Mathematics and Computer Science: Research Updates Vol. 4

There are two different ways of generating random numbers using a computer system, Pseudo-Random Number Generators (PRNGs) and True Random Number Generators (TRNGs). Giving Consideration to the era of Generic AI and the Internet of Things where high bandwidth, connectivity, servers, storage and decisions play an important role. Hence speed and security are obvious needs. As pseudo-random number generation (PRNG) is also a basic need when security, probability, heuristics and many other issues are of concern. For this purpose and by considering the recent research outcomes with respect to programming languages like Java and Python. A Linear congruential Generator (LCG) algorithm is selected which is one of the popular PRNG. In this study, the performance of Linear Congruential Generator (LCG) pseudo-random number generators (PRNGs) implemented in Python and Java is analyzed using three seeding techniques: manual, system time, and hash/object-based. The results show that system-time seeding offers the best trade-off between speed and randomness, with Java outperforming Python in execution times. The results noticed have also proved the strengths and weaknesses of Java and Python. These findings provide practical guidance for developers in selecting appropriate PRNG implementations for applications in IoT, AI, and statistical modeling. In conclusion, it has been found that LCG seeded with system time has performed better than the other two versions. The role of programming languages both Java and Python for generation has no such impact. The study has also shown the speed of generation of LCG PRNGs is 10 times more than that of Python’s execution time.

MVP Architecture Applied to an Efficient Development of an Interactive Software for Circle Study | Chapter 8 | Current Overview on Science and Technology Research Vol. 1

The crucial stages necessary for an interactive software programme utilised in the study of circles are included in this chapter. Software development is thus portrayed in a concrete manner through the use of specialised UML diagrams that reflect the steps of analysis, design, and implementation. The design must be appropriate for the issue at hand while yet being flexible enough to accommodate future needs. The architecture of a piece of interactive educational software is most likely the most important factor that might affect its quality. The "Model-View-Presenter" architectural pattern is used to improve the implementation of the educational programme that is being provided. Because most kids struggle to learn mathematics, particularly geometry, the programme is tremendously helpful for both teachers and students. Study on Improving the Development of a Triangle Geometry Computer Application Using Design Patterns | Chapter 8 | Current Topics on Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 3

Designing object-oriented software is challenging, and designing reusable object-oriented software is considerably more difficult. The design must be tailored to the challenge at hand while still being generic enough to address future requirements. Design is perhaps the most critical issue that can affect the quality of an interactive computer programme when it is being developed. Fortunately, there are a variety of design patterns available that can be applied to tackle a broad problem. Design models are used to depict the solutions of skilled architects. As a result, all design model in the oriented object programming paradigm aims to solve a specific design problem. The goal of this project is to develop an interactive computer programme that may be used to understand triangle geometry. The "Factory" creational pattern and the "Observer" behavioural pattern are used to improve the design of the computer programme. The factory pattern connects parallel class hierarchies, allowing information of which classes belong together to be localised. The most significant benefit of employing the observer pattern is that it greatly simplifies programming tasks. The implementation is carried out using the Java programming language, which is a platform-independent language. Triangle geometry computer applications benefit from the adoption of these two design patterns in terms of development, extensibility, and reusability.
