A Comparative Study of Some Tur\(\acute{a}\)n-type Inequalities in the Realm of Complex Polynomials | Chapter 5 | Mathematics and Computer Science: Contemporary Developments Vol. 1

Let \(p(z)\) be a polynomial of degree \(n\) having all its zeros in \(|z| \leq 1\), then famous inequality due to Turán [Compos. Math. 7 (1939), 89-95] is \[\max_{ |z|=1 }\left|p^{\prime}(z)\right| \geq \frac{n}{2} \max _{|z|=1}|p(z)| \text {. }\]

This Turán's inequality was generalized for the first time by Malik [J. London Math. Soc., 1(1969),57-60] that if \(p(z)\) is a polynomial of degree \(n\) having all its zeros in \(|z| \leq k, k \leq 1\), then \[\max_{ |z|=1 }\left|p^{\prime}(z)\right| \geq \frac{n}{1+k} \max _{|z|=1}|p(z)| \text {. }\] While for the case \(k \geq 1\), Govil [Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 41(1973), 543-546] prove that \[\max_{ |z|=1 }\left|p^{\prime}(z)\right| \geq \frac{n}{1+k^n} \max _{|z|=1}|p(z)| \text {. }\]

The above inequalities play a vital role in approximation theory. Frequently, further progress in this theory has depended on first obtaining a corresponding generalization or analogue of these inequalities. In this article, we discuss in brief some of the recent improvements of the above inequalities particularly the later type and make a comparative study of them using an example with detail graphical illustrations.

Note on Bernstein Inequalities Concerning Complex Polynomials | Chapter 1 | Research Updates in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 7

Let p(z) be a polynomial of degree n having no zero in jzj < 1, then Erdös conjectured and later Lax [Bull. Amer. Math. Soc., 50 (1944), 509-513] prove that

This Erdös-Lax’s inequality was generalized for the first time by Malik [J. London

Math. Soc., 1(1969), 57-60] that if p(z) is a polynomial of degree n having no zero

in jzj < k, k > 1, then

For the class of polynomials not vanishing in jzj < k, k < 1, the precise estimate for

maximum of jp0(z)j on jzj = 1, in general, does not seem to be easily obtainable.

But for the particular class of polynomials having all its zeros on jzj = k, k < 1,

Govil [J. Math. and Phy. Sci., 14(1980), 183-187] was able to prove that

In this article, we compare some inequalities of later type concerning the ordinary

and polar derivatives of the polynomial.

Some Non-Extendable Special Diophantine Triples Involving Nonagonal Pyramidal Numbers | Chapter 9 | Explorations in Diophantine Equations

In this chapter, we discover the special Diophantine triples for the nonagonal pyramidal number with distinct ranks. The chapter mainly focuses on building three separate polynomials with integer coefficients (p, q, r) such as the multiple of any two components of the ensemble increased to their total and prolonged by a non-null integer (or a polynomial with integral coefficients) is a perfect square. In addition, the triple is not extended to a quadruple is analyzed. It is concluded that, we can explore for some other Special Diophantine triples for higher order Pyramidal numbers with equivalent fitting properties.

Inequalities Concerning Maximum Modulus of Higher Order Derivative of Complex Polynomials | Chapter 4 | New Trends in Physical Science Research Vol. 6

Let P(z) be an n-degree complex polynomial. Numerous people have been drawn to the best approximation issue involving the derivative p'(z) with various limits on the zeros, including well-known mathematicians and physicists as Mandeleev, the Markov brothers, and Bernstein. Numerous mathematicians have researched their works in-depth, which has led to a large collection of inequalities using complex polynomials. We cover a list of inequalities affecting the maximum modulus of higher order derivatives of complex polynomials in this article.

Extension of Ordinary Inequalities of Polynomial to Polar Derivative | Chapter 7 | Recent Studies in Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 4

 Let p(z) be a polynomial of degree n and for a complex number α, let Dαp(z) = np(z)+(α-z)p′(z)

denote the polar derivative of the polynomial p(z) with respect to α.It is of interest to extend
ordinary inequality of polynomial into polar derivatives as the later versions have mathematical
aspects.
