Potential Interaction of Phorid Fly Megaselia scalaris (Loew) with Various Economically Important Arthropod Fauna | Chapter 9 | Research Highlights in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 4

 The ‘destroy-fly’, Megaselia scalaris [1] (Diptera: Phoridae), is a slight, synanthropic, polyphagous fly that may keep a wide range of environmental niches. Under laboratory and instinctive conditions, miscellaneous life cycle stages devour, parasitize, and ate a larger type of plant and animal materials. In mechanically blocked environments, they are among the first wave of insects visiting human corpses. It is usually secondhand in research and within the testing room because it is easily civilized and this species is secondhand in experiments involving developmental, hereditary, and bioassay analyses. This class is important in the study of forensic entomology cause evidence derived from the lifecycle and behaviour of these flees is useful in both medical practitioner-criminal and neglect/abuse cases. The objective of this study search out represent the association concerning this fly accompanying a few agricultural and nonagricultural bugs along with few social and eusocial insects place it is shown that for various insects, this fly has various mechanisms and fads of action. The diverse cooperation of this flee with these insects gives us clear information of trophic interactions with species and contributes to the understanding building of biodiversity and ecosystem functioning.

Study about Novel Bioacaricide for Controlling Ticks and Tick-Borne Diseases in Tanzania | Chapter 13 | Issues and Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 1

 Ticks and tick-borne disease kill livestock by causing severe skin damage, which is a byproduct of the manufacturing industry. In Tanzania, conventional acaricidal tick control is both environmentally and economically costly. Spraying 0.2 mL/tick of 1x106,1x107, 1x108 conidia/mL of Aspergillus oryzae and control (water and 0.5 percent triton x-100) in 35.5oC and 85 percent RH against three species of ticks (Acari: Ioxididae); Rhipicephalus appendiculatus, Hyalomma anatolicum, and Amblyomma gemma) The results showed that at 1x108 conidial/mL, A. oryzae caused high mortality rates in H. anatolicum, R. appendiculatus, and A. gemma, averaging 88.2 percent, 72.5 percent, and 67.9 percent within 6.250.75, 7.550.59 days, and 11.90.65 days, respectively, whereas in control, the highest mortality rate reached 12.5 percent, 11.0 percent, and 6.5 percent after 22.50 It was also discovered that 1x108 conidial/mL of A. oryzae lowered oviposition rate in A. gemma, resulting in 94.810.74 eggs/female compared to 354.1542.65 eggs/female in control. H. anatolicum treated with A. oryzae at 1.0x108 conidia/mL deposited eggs average 166.207.5 eggs/female, compared to a control that laid eggs averaging 416.2521.71/female in cold. This study found that A. oryzae is good in controlling ticks and could be used to safeguard animals and humans in pastoral and protected regions.

A Bibliographic Summary on Hymenopteran Parasitoids Collected in Biomes in Brazil | Chapter 05 | New Visions in Biological Science Vol. 4

 Our biomes and morphoclimatic domains are significant not just as natural resources in our country, but also as globally significant natural resource ecosystems. Parasitoids are extremely small insects that spend part of their lives inside their hosts. This host is usually another insect (usually an agricultural pest) that dies as a result of parasitism. The purpose of this research is to describe parasitoids found in Brazilian biomes. The brief review is a bibliographic summary of parasitoids from the Order Hymenoptera that were collected in the biomes listed below in Brazil. The research focused on the quantitative characteristics of the superfamily, family, subfamilies, genera, and species in studies linked to the theme (Taxonomic groups). A bibliographic search was conducted for publications published between 2006 and May 2021. From June to August 2021, the small review was conducted in Goiânia, Goiás, using the Electronic Scientific Library Online (Scielo) and the internet. Brazilian biomes are significant not only as natural resources in our country, but also as global hotspots of natural richness. Brazil is one of the few countries in the world where biological megadiversity, or major ecosystems, is still alive and well.
