Role of Protozoans in Causing Cancer in Human| Chapter 7 | Current Overview on Disease and Health Research Vol. 10

 Infections are erect as one of the causes of malignancy with almost each group of microorganisms involved. Pediatric Tumors of Oral and Maxillofacial Region- Clinical Diagnosis and Management | Chapter 4 | Issues and Developments in Medicine and Medical Research Vol. 1

 Children have a wide range of oral lesions and soft tissue abnormalities, but the low frequency with which many of these diseases occur in the head and neck region makes clinical diagnosis difficult. Oral lesions associated with a variety of genetic illnesses, particular cancers, or systemic diseases that mimic benign or inflammatory conditions can occasionally go unrecognised or ignored in ordinary practises. Surprisingly, the majority of juvenile oral cavity disorders are benign and do not necessitate substantial surgical intervention. On the other hand, head and neck cancers are rather uncommon, accounting for only 12% of those cancers that require prompt treatment and rehabilitation. The goal of this chapter is to provide a brief overview of the clinical, histological, and radiographic characteristics of the most prevalent and relevant oral lesions in children.
