Study and Comparison of the Performance of Passive UHF RFID Tags in the Presence of Mutual Coupling | Chapter 9 | Research and Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 2

The objective concerning this paper is to study and equate the performance of few prototype commercial inactive UHF RFID tags such as the impressed Dipole, the printed T-Match and the impressed Meander dipole as a function of their sensitivity to common coupling. In practical uses, mutual union changes the intrinsic limits of the antennas attached to these tags, that is change in the impedance of the tags, distortion of the dissemination pattern. This results in the non-reading of few and the degradation of the lector-tag link budget thus lowering the performance of passive UHF RFID tags. The ideas performance of UHF RFID structures depends on the relative position of the tags. In this work, we analyze the efficiency of printed tags utilizing ANSYS HFSS software to directly extract the shared impedance principles in various sketches and then equate the sensitivity levels to mutual union with MATLAB operating system. The simulated effects show the effectiveness concerning this study in providing a thorough insight of tag act. These outcomes reveal new avenues of research into the study of common coupling 'tween tags and will help users make better conclusions in the selection of UHF RFID tags for high frequency identification of production.

Circular Dipole Array with Omnidirectional and Beamsteering Capabilities for 5G Communications in the Sub-6GHz Range| Chapter 8 | Recent Developments in Engineering Research Vol. 8

The design of a dipole antenna array is recorded in the US 5G Sub 6-GHz band with beamsteering capabilities as well as omnidirectional efficiency. A planar dipole, created by printing two arms back to back on a circular substrate, is the single radiating part. The proposed circular array of antennas consists of four dipoles with four open circuits used as dipoles. With switches. By regulating the switching states, the pattern reconfigurablity is achieved. The layout  It presents procedures and optimises and simulates the structure. The simulated one, according to Results: seven modes can be selected with a global matching bandwidth of 180MHz (S11<10dB)  High 6dBi peak gain and strong overall efficiency of 89% of omnidirectional and omnidirectional radiation Based on the working states, beamsteered directional patterns (covering 360 °) can be electronically tuned. The comparison with other state-of-the-art antennas reveals a compact size, high gain and simple to build for the proposed reconfigurable array. For the potential 5G sub-6GHz 5G portable base station, this proposed antenna is well equipped.
