The Design of a Smart Prototype Security System for Wildlife Conservation | Chapter 3 | Science and Technology: Developments and Applications Vol. 8

The exploitation of natural resources through poaching and plundering has a significant impact on the environment, society, economy, and culture. Namibia has recently witnessed a surge in wildlife crime, as evidenced by the reported poaching incidents in the iconic Etosha Game Park in 2022, where 61 black and 26 white rhinos were killed. Elephants, rhinos, and pangolins are currently the three main high-value targets for poachers due to their ivory, horns, scales, and flesh. Despite the Namibian government's efforts to combat poaching, the illegal killing of wild animals persists, which negatively impacts natural diversity and the national tourism industry. This paper proposes an innovative, intelligent system to facilitate real-time detection and monitoring of wild animals and timely detection of poaching activities. The system is designed to assist national parks and private game parks in identifying and combating poaching in real-time by utilising off-the-shelf components.

A Smart System for Alzheimer's Patient Care Using IoT | Chapter 3 | Research and Applications Towards Mathematics and Computer Science Vol. 3

This stage highlights about smart System for Alzheimer's Patient Care Using Information of Technology. In the last ten of something, the Internet of Things (IoT) has become a new electronics that aims to facilitate growth and help people as a whole aspects of their lives. This electronics is used for smart apartments, smart grid stations, smart agriculture, energy systems, transport aids, smart cities, etc. The number of sensors and IoT schemes along with requests is used for listening the health condition of inmates. The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new technology that has arose in the past ten age with the goal of improving public's lives in all circles. Smart homes, smart gridiron stations, smart agriculture, energy systems, transit aids, and smart cities are just any applications for this science. Patients' health environments are tracked utilizing a variety of sensors, IoT instruments, and applications. .  Further, on account of the advancements engaged of AI and Machine Learning, the future scope of IoT has sedately increased. The potential of IoT is not restricted to healthcare. There are various additional applications of IoT.

Study on High Performance Surveillance and Operating Robot with Raspberry Pi | Chapter 1 | New Approaches in Engineering Research Vol. 13

We'll use the Raspberry Pi's characteristics to build a robot car that is totally controlled by the Raspberry Pi in this chapter. Every month, a new technology is introduced in some region of the world; this statement helps us to assess how swiftly science and technology is evolving around the world. The primary goal of our Raspberry Pi research was to learn more about IoTs (Internet of Things). When we consider the contemporary technological era, we can see that nanotechnology, for example, has become increasingly important. On the horizon are robotics, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, and automation. The development of tiny CPUs, such as the Raspberry Pi, is one of the topics we're looking into. The ARM architecture is used in the Raspberry Pi.

Recent Study on IoT Based Embedded Smart Lock Control System | Chapter 5 | New Insights into Physical Science Vol. 13

Smart home protection and remote surveillance have become essential in recent years, and the need for smarter security systems has only grown with the introduction of new concepts such as the Internet of Things and the advancement of advanced authentication and security technologies. Security and surveillance have become increasingly important in recent years in a variety of settings, including homes, workplaces, banks, and other financial institutions. The development of an intelligent web-based door lock control system that uses face recognition technology for authentication, visitor tracking, and control. In this article, a smart door lock is discussed. Face detection is done with Haar-like features, and face recognition is done with the Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH). The device also includes a web-based remote monitoring module, an authentication module, and a bare-bones embedded IoT server, which sends live pictures of visitors to the owner via email and SMS notification, and the owner can then remotely access the lock by responding to the email with predefined security codes to unlock it. the other entrance This device is useful in smart homes where the owner cannot be present at all times and remote authentication and control are required. The device was built and tested on a Raspberry Pi 2 board, and the various face recognition and control modules were programmed in Python and OpenCV. This paper also looks at the enormous potential of computer vision in general and face recognition in particular, as well as the possibilities of the Internet of Things in home security and automation. The OpenCV library, the Python programming language, and the Linux operating system's simplicity and prowess have all been thoroughly examined.
