Co-occurrence of Autism Spectrum Disorder with Other Neurological Disorders: A Brief Overview | Chapter 2 | Novel Aspects on Pharmaceutical Research Vol. 3

 The present study focal points a brief overview on co-incident of autism spectrum disorder with added neurological disorders. Autism range disorder (ASD), a common neurodevelopmental disorder, is characterized by imperfection in social ideas and interaction and limited, repetitive behaviours. Epilepsy is one of ultimate prevalent affecting animate nerve organs conditions place abnormal brain venture occurs, distressed 70 million people general. A total of 552 developmentally challenged youngsters were screened for ASD by following the tests set in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder-IV (DSM-IV) at four districts in the way that Shivamogga, Chikmagaluru, Davangere, and Haveri of Karnataka, India. A total of 49 individuals accompanying ASD were identified from the pool of special schools. It tells that the males (71.43%) have existed affected accompanying ASD by two and a half fold higher than females (28.57%). Both hereditary as well as material factors play a huge duty in the cause of autism. A better understanding of ASD comorbidity with ONDs sexually transmitted disease in diagnosis and situation, thereby improving the condition of life of stirred individuals.
