Hyptis
suaveolens (L.) Poit belongs to the Lamiaceae family (Bush mint). It's a weed
that has insecticidal characteristics. Lung infections, uterine infections, and
skin disorders have all been treated with it in the past. Steroids, alkaloids,
phenolics, flavonoids, tannins, glycosides, and essential oil are examples of
phytochemicals obtained from plants that have medicinal and pharmacological
applications. The current review paper focuses on the pharmacological and other
relevant aspects of H. suaveolens.
