The objective of research search out determine optimal number and district of Phasor measurement wholes (PMUs) to make Smart Grid observable. A novel order using binary number linear compute technique is proposed to altered conventional power whole into a smart grid by putting PMUs at appropriate locations preserving bureaucracy set observability. The proposed method integrates the impacts of bothexisting conventional power needle / flow measurements (if any) and the likely failure of sole or multiple PMU / communication line into the conclusion strategy and maximum redundancy. The network study of land and network connectivity forge remains unaltered. Problem is planned and program is developed using Matlab operating system. It is tested and confirmed on sample 7-bus system and IEEE 14 transport system. Even though the results are limited to individual depth from the view of power system dependability, further formulation maybe extended to any wisdom of unobservability. The suggested formulation or method is practicable, active and computationally simple.
