Incidence of Castor Insect Pests in Relation to the Meteorological Parameters in Southern Telangana Zone, India | Chapter 13 | Emerging Issues in Agricultural Sciences Vol. 4

 The predominance and severity of bug pests will be influenced by changes in bug pest rank in the existing agricultural surroundings and changes in climatic footing. To evaluate the population vacillations of insect plague of castor during kharif, 2020 at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Palem and relationship betwixt pests and weather limits, investigations on pest public with regard to the weather limits have been carried out. Castor is majorly of age in areas place mean monthly temperature across the increasing season ranges from 22.7 to 34.3 0C. It showed a powerful correlation between leafhoppers and maximum hotness (r=0.48) and a substantial equating between minimum temperature (r=-0.59) and the eve relative humidity (r=-0.56). and precipitation (r=-0.60). Thrips and rainfall have a negative significant union (r=-0.65). Semilooper and maximum temperature have a helpful connection (r=0.17). Spodoptera litura has a positive important link with maximum hotness (r=0.24), but a negative significant relationship accompanying maximum temperature (r=-0.49) and minimum hotness (r=-0.55).
